Then you've gotten the biggest hurdle out of the way. I take it you couldn't get your company to cover temporary accommodation or an agent? Legally speaking, the owner pays agent fees so you could just go through one, but you'd have to grease the wheels a bit. If you want a good place, it'll likely be 100% unfurnished; furnished places are a bit easier to come by because they're more expensive. If you go on WG Gesucht and/or check eBay kleinanzangen (with Google translate if necessary), you'll probably find something pretty quickly, but if you're looking for the perfect place, that might be difficult: one of my classmates spent 4 months looking for the "perfect place" because she wasn't happy with "good enough" haha

Yes. Think back many years pre gifting :)

Seriously though it makes me feel all important so I’ll keep the E35k card in my wallet... until I find the orange one or/and it stops working. Or until Esso stops giving me gas points.

That reminds me, my blue BA one just expired.

Do the old Altitude cards still function as AE cards once the status expires?
