At approx. T-12 hours, would think AC is getting some sort of compensation from GTAA for agreement to cancelations...

So seeing as this is becoming a mess, do we:

1) Expect things to get worse on 04/23 when 05-23 closes completely?
2) Actually expect 05-23 renovations to be completed by the published date (05/16)?

If I hear AC staff correctly,04/24 is likely to prove very demanding of those pax transiting YYZ

I'm transiting YYZ to the US on the 16th ... a bit risqué. Hopefully if things are delayed we'll have a heads up and I can try and reroute ... haha.

Were you planning on stripping at transborder Security?

Based on the last few troublesome weeks was expecting major issues from YXU to YYZ to YHZ to YSJ tonight. However, zero problems with incoming flights, all boarded on time with boarding completed well before scheduled departure and on time arrivals.

Talking to the concierge in YHZ, she said it was one of the best days she could remember in years.

(Maybe 05/23 should have been closed earlier).

Flew through today doing YOW-YYZ-YVR-YXY and only about ten minutes of delays for each flight that were both largely made up.

How have the delays been the past few days? Taking a 9pm flight departing YYZ to the US soon... expect departure delays?

Delays are highly dependent on the winds so hard to predict. If they can use the North/South runways which they are now heavily favoring, then there are typically no delays. If they are constrained to the East/West runways because of stronger east/west winds then expect horrible delays on arrival and departure. Last Thursday was on a flight from IAH that had a 3.5 hour departure delay out of IAH, two hour delay to depart gate and about 1.5 hours on the ground waiting for an earlier slot.

Watch for travel waivers for your day of travel and if you have options that you prefer to take then take advantage of. Early morning likely to be better as delays can cascade through the day.

YYZ to YXU Tonight:

22:55 (last flight out) - Cancelled with plenty of notice
19:30 - Cancelled at 18:10
18:05 - Cancelled at 18:25

Take care getting home tonight all.

Auto-rebooking has me on the Sat. 8:00. What a joke...

It's sunny west of Milton, and there was no "Red Alert" at YYZ. Just an opportunity for AC to take advantage of re: runway maint...

Not true. There was one for a while between 1800-1900.
