The old website is in the process of being "retired"
Leaving the below here for now for the sake of posterity and reference.
Accessing the "old" website.

At the moment (09-Sep-2016) accessing the old and functional website is still possible.

The procedure to access the old website requires a few steps.

1. Clear all aircanada.com related cookies and browser cache.
2. Go to this URL. https://www.aircanada.com/en/go-beta.html
3. Click on book travel Button at the top left of the screen.

Alternatively for some clicking on one the following links will work for some as well.

https://www.aircanada.com/aco/flights.do or;
https://www.aircanada.com/en/home.ht...ialSignon=true

"A digital transformation underway at Air Canada is reshaping the customer experience in almost every way"
Most of the old website URLs now redirect to the new "beta" website.

Yes, a moment or two indeed. While the site may have not been the most elegant looking, it was highly functional and worked at a decent speed on all devices, platforms and browsers I would use.

The "upgraded" site seems slower on certain tablets, and requires far too many additional mouse clicks, movements, etc to complete similar tasks than the old site did.

I'm not sure which UI & UX monkeys AC farmed out the website development too - but clearly the monkeys weren't the brightest.


Speaking of monkeys......hey Amadeus folks - wth?!

That's a lot of webpage refreshes in a very brief period of time you're doing there - shouldn't you be working on the website "upgrade" instead?

It must be gone because of all these flown away pages from any google searches.

Tried to book a complex itin last night, four whole segments. Not only did it fail, the provided details to give to phone resvervations where all null.

So these guys changed the feedback column from Yellow to Blue while the site still have a lot of issues.
Its nice to know important changes are taken place, however. /S

You guys were able to get it to work?!?!? I've had to send mid-6 figure spend to other airlines this year because the new website wouldn't even let me book.

I had the chance to compare the image and quality of my itinerary/receipt when i sent it to myself after purchase on the old site from Manage Bookings.

It had good font size, and was easy to read. Information was clearly laid out.


Then someone or some team at AC etc apparently did NOT do a page by page comparison of the booking process on the old site versus the beta, and worse, a page-by-page comparison of the email and PDF of the itinerary and receipt from the new site's Manage Bookings.

Because if they did, they might have noticed it's illegible.

While we're at it, the third image here appeared on a page all by itself.

Awesome use of white space. No information at all.

I have no intention of printing an AC ticket unless AC pays for my ink and paper.


Screen shots right off the documents so the sizes you see here are exactly as they appear on the originals.

I created the wiki page just for that reason - so you could have booked flights using the old and very functional website! @:-)

The old site was fully functional until ~10pm EST or so on Friday 13-Jan-2016.

I have sympathies for many people who had to book using the "beta" site, but no sympathies for you - you should have known better!!

In any case the abysmal functions of the "beta" site is a loss for both AC and many customers that ended up booking flights on other airlines. :-/

I am still getting the old site with Safari and IE (inPrivate mode), but not Chrome. I just tested and I can still book tickets with the old site. Safari on my iPhone used to default to the beta site, until I clicked the complimentary 'book flights' on the gogoinflight page on my last AC flight. Not complaining here.

Old site still works for me. I just use this link that I guess jaysona found: https://www.aircanada.com/aco/flights.do No idea what everyone's talking about.

But I've been using the new site since it went "prod". New site has worked perfectly for everything I've needed to do. The learning curve is my own problem. I've had to learn now UA, DL, AS, AA's sites/apps, and they all behave slightly differently, but once mastered, human latency of transaction is just fine.

It's a good excuse to try jet airways or whatever. Plus OAL was probably less expensive.

I still like the new site. It's a bus company, a bus ticket purchasing system. Chive on!
