Does your segment 1 and segment 2 use the same type of aircraft? Check the FIN numbers... Does Segment 2 depart from the same gate as where Segment 1 arrives?

It's possible that your segment 2 is using the same aircraft as segment 1...

FYI, 855 > 8079 yesterday, and the feature worked fine on my iOS app.

Ah, I figured it out over dinner. Its not quite the same flight, its the same route, but 5 hours earlier.

But now my Seg 2 inbound is different, but reasonable. So, meaningless data point, 3 days out they changed the A/C and the app was updated. Or maybe a week out they changed the A/C and the app was updated very, very, slowly.

New update to the Android app today. It includes support for multiple passenger boarding passes, and they've updated the digital Altitude card.

Can't say I really noticed the difference. And the app remains slow and generally poor.

This almost certainly applies to iOS too, but with the new BP feature, if you change your seat through some other mechanism (OLCI on a different computer, airport agent, etc.), you can refresh your BP and it will update.

I presume this will also work after your upgrade clears. And given how this works, it may even show a new BP after your standby clears, but I haven't tested that out.

AirCanada IOS App ?
 
I am going on an AirCanda Flights soon and downloaded the AirCanada IOS App but it seems I need an Air Canada mobile+ account to be able to use it.

What are my alternatives? Using the Mobile Version of the Website only without the niceties of an Native App?

You don't need an account. It just makes all your bookings show up automatically.

I think you can save a booking to the app, but I don't know if that saves it locally, or to your Mobile+ account.

So the "new" (last couple releases) mobile boarding pass is interesting. It can refresh, which does reflect seat changes.

However:
1. My upgrade just cleared, and it still shows 43G
2. It says the gate is N/A, but there's clearly a gate assigned

They need to tie this deeper into DCS so it will refresh for upgrades, just like United's app. And ideally gate assignments. The MLL agent gave me a gate number but I forgot it already.

New update downloading now. Here are the new items:

- On My Way travel assistance is now available for purchase when making a booking.
- Revised flight times and delays will now be indicated more clearly.
- “Create account” Home tile will no longer appear if you are already signed into AC mobile+.
- Some minor bug fixes to keep the app running smoothly.

By reading the AC feedback to the Play Store comments, they say that they will remove the requirement to sign up for a separate mobile+ account 'soon'.

My only two other main issues are gate #s rarely showing up on digital boarding passes, and how slow it is.

Exciting news! I very much like to sit in business class!

But wait... AC7786 and AC7793 are BEHs - no J cabin!

And hold on a sec... I already have confirmed seats (non-upgraded) in business class on AC1705 and AC159.

Then again, last week I went to YVR and it thought my J seats were in Y...
