I tend to book in and out of YTZ, and there is *near always* space. Y, yes. but the loads are often so light you have a row to yourself. They also have upgraded catering to match Porter on the route.

Austrian is adding VIE-YUL starting 2019/4/29 (and stopping VIE-YYZ, which AC will fly with 787 starting 2019 April also)
Both have $$$ YQ, so it's a moot point, but FYI

Star Alliance carriers Air Canada and Austrian yesterday (03OCT18) announced service changes on flights between Canada and Austria in summer 2019 season.
From 29APR19, Air Canada will resume Vienna service, operating Toronto – Vienna routing with Boeing 787-9 aircraft. The airline previously served Vienna in 1960s and 1970s, as well as between April 1987 and January 1996*.

AC899 VIE1040 – 1330YYZ 789 D
* In May 1960, Trans-Canada Air Lines operated 1 weekly Montreal – Glasgow Prestwick – Brussels – Dusseldorf – Vienna routing with Super Constellation. In winter 1995/96 season, the airline operated Toronto – Frankfurt – Vienna routing once a week.
From the same date, Austrian will begin Vienna – Montreal route, replacing existing Vienna – Toronto route. Boeing 767 operates this route on daily basis. Austrian last served this route in summer 1999 season, with A310 operates twice a week.
OS073 VIE1030 – 1535YUL 76W D
OS074 YUL1845 – 0845+1VIE 76W D

Do you already see reward inventory for these?

Can you specify a few dates in July 2019 you're seeing this in J? I think I've gone through the whole month in both directions (YYZ-VIE and VIE-YYZ) but don't see any?
Yep, it was $2,220 in extra taxes... but I'm throwing down 120,000 extra points to avoid it and using United. I just have to transfer points from Marriott over a 6 day period :/
Today, AC was selling VIE-YYZ for <CAD500 RT Y for May/June, I guess gotta fill these planes somehow!

Here's an example for July (I won't comment on the price, but there is definitely availability in July 2019 ):

Ah, I thought you had found availability for 4 seats on YYZ-VIE. I am seeing tons of YYZ-VIE availability but for 2 seats only. Guess I'll stick with YUL-VIE. Any thoughts on the OS 76W vs. the AC 787?

Can anyone tell me would YQ being charged all the way if AC is used only for the North America part and the TATL part is SK or LX?
I seem to remember I read somewhere here that AC not always triggers YQ when it is only a segment in the routing.
Also, does TAP have heavy YQ? Most availability I see is on TAP TATL.
