I do like it, but if I travelled as often as certain nomads, I'd be looking for a bit of variety.

Are the Hawksworth dishes supposed to be ex-Canada only?

I was on an east bound Asia to Canada TPAC flight recently and no Hawksworth dish was offered.

Not on the outbound. Ex-DXB, one dinner option was a regional chicken dish. Breakfast before arrival at YYZ featured an Asian option.

Just for fun, though the outbound arrives DXB just before 7 pm, the pre-landing meal served is breakfast.

Thanks. Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner will be fine with me because by the time we reach DXB, I will have no clue as to what time zone on which I will be operating!

Does AC869 have scones and clotted cream? Or are those only found on the lunch departures out of LHR?

well........not exactly

You might want to scroll back over the past year as yyznomad and I have been the most frequent and detailed posters of the full menus and photos, particularly since these are regular routes for both of us (one more HND, the other more NRT).

The appetizers have changed, there has been some variation in the main courses. Once one AC3 I had the halibut and it was fantastic. We both agreed that the sablefish was excellent (however not my recent HKG flight). In addition, the desserts have generally been better - but again, recent ones have lacked taste or texture.

The salad and bread products and breakfasts used to be much better leaving Japan, but I have noticed a decline which I detailed elsewhere in this thread.

When you fly a certain route like this very often, you start to notice small but discernible changes, particularly in quality, taste and sometimes portion size.

Finally, food service is also better when served by a great crew who show interest and are engaging.

Correct. Actually, it is for afternoon/evening departures out of LHR.

Have a nice day.

Ac 845 fra-yyc

Menu attached as pic. I had the Pike, which was good, although not as nice as the Hawksworth Sablefish IMO. Dessert was pretty basic as just ice cream.

EDIT - sorry the menu pic is sideways - can't figure out how to rotate posting.

I tried the new Hawkworth grilled chicken entree as posted above. Healthy portion of chicken. I think some people might not like though... just a hunch.

I did not try the new dark chocolate fondant dessert variant.

Did you find anything seemed different with the prep of that meal (not in cabin but the way it was cooked originally)?

Do you think it's the taste that's more refined, different, or did it taste like a shoe?

I almost always avoid dessert too. Because sleep. I did try the blackberry compote and cake and it was, fine. I guess this onemay be as well...
