It is my understanding, based on some posts in this thread, that row 7 on the 77L is actually the last row of the front cabin despite the skewed seat map shown by the AC seat selection tool. I guess it might be a matter of personal preferences, but for a daytime flight, is 7K a good choice? It seems to offer a bit more privacy at the expense of being closer to the galley/lav. Seat 9K, 10K and 11K are also available in the mini-cabin.

Not being SE, I imagine 7K is a better choice to ensure a higher meal selection priority than sitting further back.

I just flew MUC-YYZ with the seat totally deflated.

The only other empty seat was the same.

I didn't notice until after takeoff (add this to my checklist upon boarding), so they couldn't reseat a gate upgrade.

Anyone have a template for how to write in about this?

First of all, don't use a template or any style that reeks of a coordinated grievance. If you have legitimate gripe, compose your own short, pertinent letter. You know to refrain from any sensationalism or to exaggerate the negative effect of any deficiency. It may be handy to decide in advance what your ask is. Do you want a partial refund? More AQM? A discount on future travel? Do any of those make sense for your travel habits?

Secondly, you have a boarding checklist?

Dear Madam/Sir,

On my last flight, the seat in business class did not work.

As an apology, please send me one 5% discount code.

Yours sincerely,

Mr. CanadianCow

No promises if this will work. YMMV.

Haha I was somewhat joking about the template, but I agree with your suggestions.

My checklist with a pod is "can it full recline and go fully back up?"

Or at least it was. Now there's a second item when it's a new pod. "is the seat totally deflated?"

Lol.

As an SE in paid J, I'd expect a bit more than 5%.

I got burned by this once LHR-YVR and was lucky enough to switch to the only remaining pod which did have a functional seat. But in your case this has to be worth something.

This episode will hopefully remind me to add this check to my preflight checklist as well. Why does getting what you paid for have to be so friggin complicated?

Once again, seat 7A is totally deflated on this 40 seat 77W. Different fin than last time.

They reset it and it seems good now, so I've got that going for me, which is nice. Hopefully it stays this way.

I'm definitely getting taken care of though. I notified an FA, and since then, I've just been dealing with the SD and concierge. There's an employee in J and that seat was offered to me, but since mine is currently functioning, I declined.

I'm curious to hear what your experience is 60-90 min later. I'm not sure why more people aren't upset about this. These seats either aren't maintained properly or are just rubbish.

Do we need a deflategate thread with seats & fins?

Seats are smaller now.(10)seats across
What ever happened to the older (9)seaters?
Used to be (3) (3) and (3) across.
Also Aisles getting more narrow

Old news. Search for posts by "The Smallest State" for some of the best of rants. Our resident search expert has been suspended for something or other, so you'll have to look for them yourself.

AC34/777-200 Question

Hey folks,

Can anyone advise about how whether or how much overhead space AC has in the 777-200 business class cabin? I'm flying ex-SYD and want to avoid checking my bag if possible...

Thanks!
