So A3 have listened to us after all I think I was not the only one asking for free wifi for business passengers/golds when submitting the review of my flights and the--up til now--useless wifi entertainment.

We salute Wi-Fi onboard!

Enjoy every moment of your flight with Wi-Fi onboard!

Now you can be constantly connected to the internet when you travel
on one of our equipped AIRBUS neo aircraft. You will have high speed Wi-Fi... to surf, stream,
check your emails, stay in touch with loved ones,
and keep track on the latest updates on social media!

In addition, you will have access to our new entertainment platform
to enjoy series, documentaries, children's programs, your favourite music
and fun games for everyone!

The Wi-Fi onboard service is available in our neo fleet
and in all network flights with aircraft that are already equipped.
Wi-Fi onboard is being installed across our neo fleet and soon more and more aircraft
will be connected!

I always enjoyed that there were no calls during a flight. I hope this doesn't change now. I really wouldn't like listening to other passengers' calls.

Indeed, which is when I noted this was a new A3*G benefit.

While there are ways to make/take VOIP calls via in-flight internet systems, the airlines’ in-flight internet service provider can try to frustrate the call connectivity and the airline can have a policy to prohibit calls and then enforce any violations that come to their attention.

I don't know any airline that does allow this but of course there are ways around it.

Typically its blocked. Which would stop 99% of pax. Sure there are ways around it but very few people would a) know how to and b) want to make a call in-flight.

Its great news by the way. I was not aware that they have done all Neos already. How come we don't have any user reports on here yet?!

Do you think you could stream on the Text&Surf plan? I mean, the speed difference seems maybe like you are paying for the speed rather than website restrictions. And 1,5mbps should be sufficient for some phone netflix or something.

Main concern for me is that I would download the netflix programmes beforehand, but if it blocks netflix, perhaps it might make it difficult to use the app for the downloaded content when on the T&S plan.

But regardless of the specifics, what they have presented so far seems extremely promising and I am certainly looking forward to this.

Is it just me who sits and just looks out of the window!?

I am quite happy to live without internet for 2-3 hours of my life.

It's good that Aegean are keeping up with the latest developments...but I don't need this at all.
