mylabel, what is the aircraft? did you manage to get this booked?
i was trying before to mix NH and SQ but A3 call centre says they can't do the booking for some reason it was not appearing on their system although both are available. so i had to let go and settle with next best thing >TG.

And before someone questions my sanity requesting such an award ticket, I was about to ticket the flight as a revenue ticket on SK at 71€. But suddenly SK cancelled the flight and options left was to either wait at FRA 9 hours or buy from LH. And LH is not as kind to the one way traveller as SK, so such a revenue ticket was at 310€. So while it may appear as the worst redemption ever, it made some sense to me.

Booked a short notice trip FRA-ZRH-SIN in LX Biz about 1+ week out of date of travel. I could see the LX availability in LM which again matched what A3 agent could see and book.
Would have preferred LEJ-ZRH even on Eco, but she couldn't see anything. She would have added LEJ-FRA, but the third segment would have been a separate redemption which is a bit of a pain with A3 rules. On the other hand 55k miles is very decent albeit LX's atrocious YQ and fees of ~340€ incl. the 20€ booking fee.
All done ans dusted in 15mins with confirmation received and e-ticket issued within 10mins of ending the call. Not bad.

Also, I just found out that A3 agent can hold your *A award ticket for up to 1 hour. Not too useful for SPG transfer, but helpful if you are short few thousand miles and need to purchase from M+B website.

I am trying to find a low-taxes connection FRA-BKK - preferrably with TG.
Around end of december as well as beginning of january (my desired travel date) there is no TG availability!
Yet there is some availability in near future (within the next 7 days) with TG (and around 100eur taxes)
Can anyone confirm that TG opens award availability for *A partners only 1-2 weeks ahead of departure?
Or is it in general a common practice among all *A airlines?

Had 2 award tix for May 2016:
- USM-BKK-PEK on TG in J
- no problem finding availability and booking process was very quick and efficient
- taxes and fees per person €125 including the A3 booking fee (YQ was €86 per ticket)
All in all very satisfied as this was only 21,000 miles per person (journey was one way). Great redemption value! ^

I was trying to find the award ticket from Kuwait to Athens, the KWI airport is not available from the list. Why is like that? The same with Abu Dhabi. However if you search for miles calculator, Kuwait is available and shown that requires 12k miles for go light.

You can try to book LH from KWI and LX/LH from DXB.
MS also flies to KWI and AUH, DXB.

For some reason the 'Spend miles' reward flight search page doesn't show KWI yet, but they most certainly do fly to KWI, I've got myself a revenue ticket! Booked via an OTA for 86.30 EUR and as it's in 'Flex' I've upgraded the whole journey!
Added to that, flights from KWI have virtually no taxes, so I was able to book an onward redemption ticket (with BAEC) to Hong Kong in economy there and FIRST back for around 73 EUR. Probably one of the best redemptions I've ever made. Thanks Aegean! ^
