I don’t think the Gold status is limited to one year only. T&Cs states that: ”Becoming a Subscriber of the ibis BUSINESS Program allows Subscribers to get an automatic upgrade to Gold Status of the Le Club AccorHotels program while their ibis BUSINESS Subscription is valid.”
However, Gold Status of the Le Club Accor Hotels program is valid just until December 31st 2020.

Or Ibis business card membership goes for more than 1 year for the first timer?

But I do plan to address Accor regarding the length of Gold Status.

I believe its because LCAH membership validity period calculation.
If you qualify for ... say Platinum in June 2019, then your Platinum status will be valid until Dec 2020
Likewise, you got Gold from your ibis card in June 2019, then LCAH only see your gold valid until 2020
But then next year they will automatically extend it to Dec 2021 since you "qualified for gold again" based on ibis card membership

Requalified!
We have used a lot of points this year, so we are not going to try for Diamond. We are hoping that with the introduction of Diamond/Black we will still be regarded as customers of value by maintaining Platinum.
We have 18 more nights booked this year, including our much anticipated two nights at Raffles Jakarta, which we wanted to experience whilst we are still top of the teir in a couple of weeks.

And I'm back online!
Took a break off from flying and hotels while looking for a new job and enjoying unemployed life for a little while.
New job is Tokyo (again, after 12 years) and I'm back on the points trail.
Managed to grab the Miles+Points promos as well.
Status points = 11,393
And one last week at the Pullman Tamachi will get me right on the Plat re-qualification threshold.
Leaves me enough leverage to keep my Marriott Gold if I can keep year end trips.
Speaking of which, it's cocktail hour at the 9F executive lounge. I'm thirsty!

Diamond reached and will probably end up around 35 000 status points for 2019
Nothing special so far and I guess, nothing will happened before end of year...
