Hotel: Mercure Sydney Hotel

Content: strawberry, chocolate sauce and one bottle of sparkling wine!

Usually the welcome amenity include strawberry, chocolate sauce and two glasses of sparkling wine. It seemed I got "upgraded" because I have stayed there many times. Very gererous and pleasant offer!

Sofitel Sukhumvit Bangkok. Accor + Platinum. Well presented, nothing I’d get excited about but the thought is there. Upgraded to a suite of sorts

Follow up at the front desk yielded more of the same - "We don't do that anymore". Maybe a product of a swath of new employees who really have no idea.

As an aside, they are also still adamant that late checkout is limited to 2pm, even though the hotel was entering a quiet period with every room category available for booking. The good old days of FPC are long gone at this property.

What an extremely poor reflection of this hotel Needless to say they are entirely wrong.

Thanks for that info about leaving not had my points or nights allocated from there yet ( had same allocated from next stay at Sofitel Queenstown since then ) so best contact them asap

Stayed at the Novotel Kirchberg in Luxembourg as Gold. Checked in at noon and given an upgrade and a nice bar of Luxembourg chocolate as the gift (along with drink vouchers, we were 2 guests). ^

I stayed at the Chicago Sofitel Magnificent Mile last weekend and received a litre bottle of Evian and 3 chocolates on sticks that were nicely presented. Neglected to take a picture. Two welcome drink coupons were good for specialty cocktails in the bar.

I received no welcome amenity during my stay at the Pullman Xiamen Powerlong; we didn't feel like calling and asking for it, knowing it would likely just be a token fruit plate.

bottle of water and a pack of candy is typical of Ibis Style (at least in Europe) , but don't expect anything at Ibis (red ones)
