Nope just cheapest room they had.Mind you it was over 150€ a night ! ( Moved rooms after first night as shower leaked and nest of insects in window frame )
Stayed three nights.
Mini Fridge replenished three times.
Will do a full review later. I doubt we will ever stay there again.

Ibis Yerevan Centre - LCAH Gold
Upon check-in I received a drinks voucher and a very nicely packaged box of chocolates (which also tasted nice). I was also told that there was another gift in the room.
When I got to the room there were some local souvenirs (Pencil wrapped in a local fabric and a fridge magnet) as well as a ‘Welcome to Armenia’ pack with brochures...etc in.
For an Ibis hotel I thought the welcome was very good - especially the local souvenirs which added a unique touch to the arrival.
The front desk staff at this hotel were also brilliant - friendly and enthusiastic. Overall a great stay and certainly one of the nicest Ibis hotels I’ve stayed in.

warm welcome at Novotel Parma (Italy) ... new opening ...
maybe they are not confident yet (or they are ...) with Accor policy 😃
20 minutes check in operation ... the “priority check in” signboard laying on the bar counter ..
asked the guy at check in why it’s not working and told him there is a reason why it exist
answer: I don’t know.
Booked 1 king bed executive room, received 2 single beds executive room ... “we are fully booked”.
Except that...
”new” Novotel style hotel. Small room, without desk ...
unfortunately there isn’t Marriott option at this city ...
only positive thing: this hotel was included on X4 points new hotels promo (reason why I have booked here)
tasting the restaurant later, hope it’s good. Parma is one of the best city in Italy for food.

Been in a few Ibis and Ibis Styles in France lately. No recognition of gold status in any of them, don't really expect much. But the best experience in a while was in Ibis Styles Rennes. After check in I asked for a voucher for a welcome drink. The girl said you don't get one as you are just classic status. I pointed out not only was I gold, but she actually had my card in her hand as she said it! She then said she would give me a welcome drink even though she shouldn't. I had to ask for my card back. Was all a bit weird, I presume she just made a mistake and was embarressed.

Novotel Sydney Manly Pacific
Gold status. Got a 1 level upgrade from courtyard room to room with balcony looking down a laneway and 1 drink voucher. Very very tired hotel that is trading on location alone. As a surfer still beats staying in the Sydney CBD though! Have another couple of stays booked, hopefully can snag an ocean front room

Wow that is strange for Shaw parade, did you get free breakfast, welcome beer and a free lunch dinner or room service in lieu of no lounge?
