I have own personal 747 send off this Friday, SFO-ICN. I went ahead and booked F as I have never sat in 1A or 1K. For that route, I've booked 1K thinking I'll get to see the golden gate and better views over Alaska and Kamchatka. Does anyone recommend I move over to 1A for any reason? Coming back through NRT so I can't get both views. Any thoughts appreciated

1K is the correct side of the aircraft for 28 departure from SFO, and you'll also be on the land/shady side the whole way. Seems like an obvious choice to me ^

F = ~$4800 RT and J = ~$3800 RT.
AMS/BRU-LAS in business for around Euro 1500.
Routing via FRA-SFO and you got a choice of two (!) 744s daily.

I was in 1K earlier this month. 1A and 1K are more or less identical, and I think SFO-ICN is best for the reasons mentioned above, view of GG and you are on the shady side for the whole flight.

Just booked my possibly last 744 flight on TPE-SFO, was unable to get 1A/K for the two of us, so we are in 3/4A.

I agree, but 1K does have easy access to the coat closet, which is where I usually keep my laptop bag/personal item. It's great to have since there is no overhead bins in row 1.

What I want to know is what will happen to the 747-400 picture I chose as the wallpaper for the .bomb home page.

Just flew N178UA upper deck today (June 26) from PEK to SFO.

While I was sitting on my connecting flight to YYZ, I saw N128UA leaving for ICN.

I have about 8 flights on the 744 left before they are being retired at end of October. It is going to be tough stepping onto the 744....

It will be a very sad sight when all of the 747s are gone at SFO. Here is my latest UA 747 takeoff:

Snagged O class and 1A & 1K on SFO-LHR in July. Very excited! I've flown the 747 only once and it was Lufthansa 747-8 in the upper deck.
