Present 747 routes

On what routes is UA still flying the Queen of the Skies? I know their days are numbered and I'm thinking about trying to get in one more trip on the upper deck before they're gone.

(I thought there was a thread for that but couldn't find it - and yes I did look and used Search...)

Thanks.

Not a comprehensive list, but I've flown them SFO/FRA and HNL/NRT. I know that the HNL/NRT has sometimes been flying a downgauged craft.

IIRC, others have reported SFO/HKG-PVG

Flights out of ORD have been cut...

They are running a domestic SFO-ORD roundtrip this schedule and I believe in April as well on the 747. 0835 SFO departure, 1605 ORD departure, though it has been consistently running 1-2 hours late.

On a side note, I saw one of the departures last week looks like it was dispatched with an altitude restricted bird, only made it up to FL290 for the trip from SFO to ORD. Made for a nice long scenic flight!

Present 747 routes

They should run nostalgia flights on all the old 747 INTL routes before they get put down. SYD,MEL,SIN,DEL,SGN,AKL.

And send a spare in parallel for all these in case of real time mech.

Not until Fall 2017 at the earliest. UA runs PEK, PVG, and seasonally NRT 744s from ORD. You can also do UD biz on LH's 747-8 to FRA from ORD, 1x daily now, 2x daily on summer schedule.

HNL-NRT shows 777 according to unitedcargo.com's schedule. I seem to recall the 747 being pulled off that route last year.
