I will be flying from SOF to ZRH (LX1861) then ZRH to LAX (LX0040). Not sure what terminals I have to cross (A to E? I think, can't find info) but I will be with a child and I was wondering what is the best way to take? Do I have to go through security again? If it matters the 2 flights are on 1 ticket.
I have 1hr and 30mins layover (if no delays)

45 min on time !
Was rush but made it.
By the way term A P lounge team is not very service oriented (they forgot to call me for shuttle being visible at restaurant), same for shuttle driver perhaps because it was dedicated due to lounge team cockup....

Had the best transfer experience I've ever had today in ZRH.
45min connection from UK-ZRH-MAD.
We arrived 20min late, and at a remote stand. No special transfer service, only the normal bus. We got into the terminal, stairs up, turn left two times, right into passport control (no queue at all), right into B31, 1 min walking to B33, done!
From remote stand to Schengen area terminal in less than 5min, really really impressed, even better than MUC!

If on time and one ticket I'd take that connection. ZRH is a very easy & simple airport to connect in.
Trying to grab a shower, if in J/Status entry/paid entry, might be a bit too much to ask for though.

We are travelling MXP-ZRH-DXB with a large group and around 1:15h connection. What is the usual routes and checks we have to go through? Do we need to reclear security?
At passport control, are there different lanes for EU/Schengen passports?
If the Milan flight is early I was hoping to briefly visit the E-pier lounge.

Your flight to DXB will depart most probably from the E Gates (small chance for D Gates) - which you'll reach by following the signs.
You'll arrive clean and pass immigration before taking the Heidi train to E.
If you're having EU passports you're allowed to use the CH / EFTA / EU lanes, not really saving much time usually though.
1hr 15min is plenty of time for this connection and with departure from E Gates, you should have enough time for a quick lounge visit.

45 minutes for international to Schengen?
Hi,
I want to book HKG-ZRH-FRA (Award on LX flights ticketed on TK, LH direct route not available).
I could either rush with a 45 Minute connecting time after a 12 hours flight from HKG, having to do passport control / entering Schengen and catching the flight to FRA
.
Or I could wait for 6 hours
for the next connection after having traveled for 3 weeks and only wanting to get home as fast as possible...
1.) Will I and my luggage make it?
2.) I don't worry about the first flight being delayed - would be the best Thing that could happen, because LX would then have to rebook me and my luggage on the next LH flight. But what would happen if the first flight was on time and I would still not make it to the gate in 35 minutes for my connection before they close the doors (e.g. bus leaving a remote stand late, long lines etc. Connection is scheduled to depart 45 min after Arrival of first flight)?

I'd take it as the next flight, as award seats won't be needed if you miss your connection for legitimate reasons, are frequent. They'll put you on the next flight that has available seat(s).
Luggage should make it in that time as you'll be doing customs at FRA so the bag will go from plane to plane.
