I'm sure there are easier ways - but we booked flights to Florida for later this year a few weeks ago - each round trip cost me less than what I've added to my account (both the Mrs and mine) in the last 12 months - so for me - I enjoy the surveys! :-)

Update:
I received an email a few days ago saying my account had been reactivated, but my points balance was showing up as $.0.00. I sent another message requesting that my balance be restored to what is was before it was deactivated.
I just received another email now saying my balance had been restored. I logged in and there is was $571.91

I cannot imagine keeping such a high balance. There´s a restriction for airline miles, for example once a month, if I was interested only in this, I´d stop doing more until I can redeem again. For hotels there´s no restriction, but then why wait and not redeem right away if you have the balance?

It made sense to let a balance build when IHG points were EQ and you could hold them until following year and be 20K or more to the good on January 15. Not so much now.
Southwest points posted the day after redemption for me. Don't know if it's normally a 24 cycle or if I just hit a sweet spot when they run a batch of redemptions.

AA posted on Tuesday
Apparently AA is posted once a week on Monday overnight.
My redemption made on last Wed finally showed up today Tuesday, dated 03/22.
Still no show on BA's. Given someone still is waiting his IB avios from 03/15 redemption, I suspect my BA would take just as long. Wasted $35 as I do not need any BA avios but did not know Hilton now had no restriction.
