Do not call the airlines under any conditions! This is the fastest way to kill the trick and bring unwanted attention to your itinerary! And do not post precious deals in this thread, this is by far the fastest way to kill the trick!

************************************************** ******
This is NOT the right place to ask: "Can you help me with a low fare for AAA-BBB?" This is not the beg-it thread, but the trick-it thread.

This thread deals with unique combinations of routes and booking tricks in order to lower prices on airline fares. Prices that would astound the general public are often achieved by the posters in this thread.

Many people, including airline representatives, monitor this thread. For that reason, it is unorganized, very content heavy, often lacking details, and written in shorthand. It takes patience and effort in order to understand the conversation and be able to participate as an active member.

We encourage you to read the entirety of this thread if you would like to get started and to experiment as soon as you understand the gist of Trick It. Lots of time spent reading, practicing, and learning is the only way to be able to reproduce our tricks and discover new ones yourself. There are many, many people who ask for advice here, so productive members are only able to help those who have shown a concerted effort and progress over a long period of time (months).

If you have no idea what this thread is about, a good place to start are various blogs' posts on the subject. At the very least, read the Rules for posting in this thread. They're also listed in the very first post, below.

Older portions of the thread have been separated into archive thread by year. They are listed below

No, it`s not "flown"...

I`ll be happy, if it`s "OK to fly" or "Airport Control"...

Is this lower than 12,50 BF? Or only a better method of cutting fat?
In order to be 50~ less, it obviously has to be a cheaper X, wondering if it is lower BF also.
Care to share alliance used?

Don't mean to sound rude, but do you care to do at least SOME homework? How many airlines do you know to fly DIRECT not to W&E coast?

I don't pretend to know all the routes from the top of my head, but I can only recall one route which satisfies given constraint. Not sure what North Americans understand by west coast, but the one among your bases sounds pretty west to me

Quite a salient point, to be sure. It should be obvious.
Although, "Direct" isn't always nonstop. So although you are probably right, I'm not 100% certain.

That said, with all my homework I haven't come up with the BF necessary to get anywhere near that price - nonstop - for said alliance, even if I did have perfect surgical skills (I don't have any for said alliance), so I'm definitely missing more than one piece of this puzzle.

P.S.How do I get rid of this message?

Realize my current profile shows Wet Coast, more commonly known as west ...

Used to fly (and sometimes still visit) DFW/DAL.

The BF on this one is pretty dang easy to find, and they've already given you more clues than was really necessary.

That doesn't help if you don't have a 3x for it, but you should at least be able to get yourself that far.

I mean, I just browse this forum casually (and have no intention of fully dedicating the required time to this), but I was able to find it with about 5 minutes of work. None of my meager random 3x searches can shave the fat, but hey, I'm just here for fun

I didn't say I haven't found a BF low enough, I believe I have BF that is low enough. But not on a "nonstop flight not from either coast". I do have that BF from that airport, but it isn't a nonstop flight
It's definitely possible I missed something in plain sight, feel free to enlighten me...

And I have shaved quite a bit of fat, but again, not on the nonstop that is being referred to.
What I'm saying is I can't find a BF for that nonstop, that can be shaved down to 225, even if I took off all the fat.

Out of curiosity:
What are people's thoughts re: side FF accounts?

For instance, missing too many 3x's could obviously draw negative attention. Say I have a lot of miles in my UA account that I don't want to risk. Does crediting FD fares to Singapore and Lufthansa mitigate some risk?

If they want you bad enough (UA), they will still have your identifying information because you're flying with them. And I guarantee they can use that to link it to your MP account.
