The e-ticket number displayed on the ANA site still has the ANA ticket number.

The upgrade certificate issued by United is on 016 ticket stock.

But, the mileage accrual page on United is now showing that leg as "not eligible to earn miles".

I have a friend who recently had a 016 ticket with some LH D segment that he upgraded.

He had to write in to get the miles credited.

Don't worry about what the website says. It is eligible for credit under the original booking class (Z).

NH Star Wars kids lounge opens in HND.

I made my reservation using my middle name.
On the NH site, I can't log in unless I run my first and middle name together as one word.
Is this normal, or will I have issues with my passport?
On my passport, my first and middle name are separate.

Totally fine. Always has been that way with ANA.

A friendly reminder just in case anybody here is making a first trip to Australia: The Australian government requires citizens of a number of countries, including the US and Canada, to obtain an Electronic Travel Authority, a sort of online visa, before entering the country.

The Australian government website is here. We attended Oz Fest in May so we're already good to go.

Or if you have a travel agent friend with GDS access, they can do it for you for free. Many don't know that they can issue it for free, because it's not widely publicized.

No need to go through that FT donor and PM'ing BS. It's all for a good cause, but it's still BS.

It's not an upgrade certificate. There's no such thing, I think. It's likely the ticket was reissued by United.

Good point! ^ That's a great pay-it-forward FTer's service that we ourselves have used.

Can anyone suggest activities for our lengthy connection in NRT where we'll have the hours between 0500 - 2150 for exploration? First time to Tokyo, but both my partner and I have been to other areas of Japan.

spend ur morning in Tsukiji to relax a bit (walk around and get some sushi) then stroll around at some quarters depending on ur liking (Maybe Ueno park, ueno zoo or shinjuku national garden. Theres also akihabara for electronics and anime goods; or harajuku if you're into manga n stuff) and head to airport at the early evening hours for the lounge since you should be quite tired then.

the doraemon museum and the crayon shinchan museum is also around the suburbs- doraemon is not bad- talks about the creator's drawing career and his other works too, but the shinchan one.... is greatly for kids.

you dont have to call that BS lol. Not many people have TA friends. And they neednt do it for free-most people do need to make a living a way or another

that said, it would be a "free" way of getting eta.

Is there luggage storage available at Haneda, or will I be pulling my rollaboard around all day?

I assume there is no problem with checking through a large suitcase with a 16h40m layover? That is to say, my checked suitcase won't show up on the conveyor belt at HND from my inbound Sydney flight due to the long layover?

It depends. If you are in-and-out of Haneda, then your luggage should be checked through.

If you are flying into Haneda, but flying out of Narita, then you will need to claim your luggage at Haneda, and make your way to Narita with your luggage.
