JFK-WAW-CPH on LOT for ~$500. I just booked for a Memorial Day weekend getaway; not sure what other dates are out there but this is as good or better than the American/Delta fare wars fares earlier today I think.

Just in an attempt to give back a little bit to a portion of the forum I don't usually have much for, I found something yesterday that others may be missing as well.
I found it curious as to why Eva Air fares show up so infrequently on Google Flights and ITA, I still can't really figure out why but I decided to just go on their site cuz I was thinking about a trip to asia and wanted to also fly a 747.
"Happy Hours" are deals on their site for departures from USA/Canada. I found lots of very good prices which I couldn't replicate on ITA/Google. I kept digging.
This is well in advance but next time you're looking check out their site...I ended up buying
YVR-TPE-MNL-TPE-YVR (Economy) for $801 CAD taxes in. Air China was by far the next cheapest and that was $851 (though I could've had a free stopover in Beijing, and Eva won't seem to let me do that in TPE so 9 hours will have to do).
The website is very English friendly and explains in quick but thorough details what the fare classes entail. I noticed the cheapest was a V class fare (at $751) only to find out on the Aeroplan site V fares don't earn (which Eva actually tells you in the short conditions, but I didn't know that'd apply to other programs), for only $50 more I booked into Q class which is a 50% earning fare to AP. So if my math was correct I got the fare at 11cpm (roughly) CAD. Not a MR by any stretch, but I encourage anyone wanting to go to asia from an Eva gateway city to check their site before making any decisions cuz it's clear their best prices don't show up on most/all of the external searches for some reason.

Good find about EVA. FYI for any UA people- since EVA joined *A they launched IAH-TPE this year and are launching ORD-TPE next year. Definitely another good option for a *A non-stop MR to Asia.

Yeah the visa killed it for me too. Great way to discourage casual and short-term tourism. Otherwise LOT has JFK-SVO for about $400 and I would have jumped on that.

I have the RUS visa and yes the fee for it wasn't fun, but it's good now for a few years. Brazil also has a high fee visa, but I went ahead and recently got that one out of the way. Also, last year the Ritz in Moscow had a really good room sale so if you end up doing this trip, check there (or the 4 seasons for a little more, but still reasonable for the venue).

It'll give you no miles, but ARN-OAK is 177 USD, OAK-ARN is 200 USD... Is Norwegian always this cheap? Because at those prices I'd take crappy service for my family.
I mean.... Dont tell them.

They have occasional sales this cheap. Actually more like every month or every other month. Not a glitch, their service is just cheap.
