My last experience of 30 min. connecting time worked, thanks to a new world record for the 200 meters run. The attendant at the gate shouting me "you are mr. pardino?" when I was at 20 meters distance. Unable to answer due to the huge running performance I simply exit the BP and she replied "come on hurry up! you are the last one!". Luckly I had only hand luggage.

Previous time was a NCE_MUC_ATH with 35 min. and the luggage arrived in ATH late in the night with the following flights.

Apart this two last experiences, seems to work only for single traveller in good shape......

What kind of connection was it? All on LH? Any remote parking position? Inbound a/c on time? Immigration hazzles? (did you have to pass immigration this time, obviously not on the connection before)

Strange to hear that you had problems.

Last week was my first mis-connection in MUC. On board the inbound flight from ARN the FA read out which flights would not be made. My LAX flight was not on the list, so I and 6 other pax assumed we would make the tight connection.
Our plane was of course parked on an apron position and all other longhaul / US bound flights were met by vans for direct transfers (GRU, PHL, etc) - all execept LAX....a bad sign.

Even though the LAX flight was still on the stand the US document checker wardens would not let us pass as the flight according to them had already closed. 7 very out of breath pax were quite mad.

Got rebooked eventually (after turning down a UA flight) onto the SFO flight later that day and was able to snag an u/g seat in F, so the wait in the FCL was not too bad ...

However, my onward connections in the US with USAir and UA were cancelled by these great airlines as I was obviously a no-show that day for my US connecting flights - even though I asked LH to sort it out with UA and US in MUC (which they did and noted everything correctly in the PNR). It took me half the night to get my F seats re-instated with UA and US.

All in LH, connection was NCE-MUC-HAM

Flight from NCE on CRJ700 arrived 10 min. late, placed on a remote parking No immigration, but time to go on bus, reaching the arrival, running to the gate.....

Yeah, I guess those circumstances make it tight. At least your onward flight was on a frequent route and there are plenty of MUC-HAM flights a day. I hope for you there was still some space for you on the next one.

As I wrote, thanks to my leg, I was on my booked flight. But in any case I'm not complaining, if I have to choose between a 2hrs connection or 30 min connection I'll always choose the latter. The same in FRA. If you fly for leasure can be different, but for business it's huge the time you save.

FRA MUC LH 982 19.45 - 20.45
MUC DXB LH 638 21.15 - 06.05

Flight ex FRA was 15 minutes delayed.
Upon arrival in MUC a LH lady awaited me (and 2 other pax) and escorted us to the gate. We easily made it, but the baggage did not.

It finally arrived on the LH daytime flight from FRA 20 hours later.

What annoys me, is not the fact, that the baggage didn't make it, but the fact that LH is unable or not willing to put the baggage on the EK flight, which left MUC 30 minutes later.

I guess 30 minutes might not be enough to relabel the bag and load it on a non-partner airline.

And shuffle it from T2 to T1...

Would EK take it though? I mean, they might have an interest in unsatisfied LH customers...

In the last time there are more problems with the luggage at MUC. Everything is very slow on the luggage transportation between aircrafts and also when the luggage is transfered to the belt. Last time I had to wait 40 minutes after arrival, that the first luggages were delivered.

Current MCT (minimum connection time) at MUC ?

I'm booked on FRA-MUC-SFO on LH792 (arrives 15:05 in MUC) and LH458 (departs 15:40 in MUC) in a couple days. The connection time is 35 mins and the ticket has been issued. I upgraded LH458 to O via PPB. As usual it was put on waitlist and confirmed from waitlist a couple hours later. Final confirmation and seat assignment followed this morning, but now to my surprise checkmytrip.com shows the following message between the two segments:
Change of plane required. Time between flights = 0:35
This message was not there before and all segments are confirmed. I know it is a short connection time, but beeing on 1C on the FRA flight and using the FCL as fast track from level G to H should allow me to do this without too much risk.

But I'm wondering, what the current MCT is at MUC. The other question I have is, whether or not I should act (call LH) due to the message on checkmytrip. Well, I may wait a few more days and see, if LH will contact me in the meantime.

Three weeks ago, it was still 35 minutes. As you know, it should be no problem.

Such messages often appear on checkmytrip and don't imply anything special. They just reflect how checkmytrip shows itineraries, and there is nothing "deep" or hidden meanings behind them.

Connection time in Munich Sunday March 9

Flying Turino - Munich - Basel tomorrow night. I have 50 minutes to transfer from a LH flight from Torino to the Muinich - Basel run.

I am not expeirenced with Lufthansa nor with the aiport inolved. The out bound having to walk avout 3/4 of mile and then join a huge a busy security line that took nearly an hour to clear. Close call. The one other time I did something similar, he security line was basically clogged with no perceptible movement a all for 15 or 29 nimutes.

So, I assuming that I get Torino - Munich on time - but the a have to clear another 45 - 60 security line after a s20 minue wwlk from terminal to terminal, what wil happen if I miss the flight?

No satus with FH.
