So we are talking about a MUC connection! @:-)
30 min is definitely doable at MUC even though it can be tight if you incoming flight is late. Please check the MUC connection thread for more information.

Yep, you should have mentioned that you are connecting at MUC. I think it is legal, and doable if your flight is on time. If you miss the connection, there is a flight 5 hours later. So I would go for it.

LH int'l transfer in MUC from H to G39-45 gates
Dear All,
I was searching this topic, but could not find any opinions views.
If you arrive at H gates from TATL flight and you have INTL connecting flight (to non-shengen EU countries i.e. BG or RO) from one of the "international" G gates (i.e. G39-45) do you have to go thru passport control twice:
one to get out of H to G floor and
than again before G39-45 gates
Is there a way to avoid it?
Is there connection between floors H&G on int'l side?
My US passport is running of free spaces for such pseudo-border crossings and I have already ones added new pages
Thx,
L

There is a dedicated security check IIRC.

My wife in a few weeks will be arriving on LH from DUS, and then flying onwards on LH to GVA.
What gates will she likely arrive at, what gates will she likely depart from? Where will be the passport control, and the security clearance?

DUS-MUC flights seem to arrive at G10-G34 or a bus gate. Whichever way your wife will find herself on G (Schengen) level. MUC-GVA flights leave from the higher G gates (G38-47) at the far end of the same level. Passport control/security check is where there's a red line near G38 on this map. Your wife should be fine if she simply follows the signs to the departure gate. MUC is not like FRA. It's very straightforward and difficult to get lost.

Hello all, refugee from the BD boards here.
In a few weeks myself, husband and toddler will be flying BHX-MUC-HKG on LH in F. We have deliberately picked a long connection time as we did not fancy sprinting through the airport with junior and due to the fact that I shall be quite pregnant again by then.
My question is, I understand that the BHX flight arrives at T2 and the HKG flight leaves from T1. what's the process for getting from T2 to the LH FCL and from there to the HKG flight in T1?
Thanks

Excellent thanks ^
So the FCL is in the Schengen area? Edit: Found the answer myself.
Thanks again

Hi all --
I'm trying to book an award flight that includes a LHR-MUC-BOS connection. Is the following too tight? It seems very reasonable for MUC, but I worry about the flight ex-LHR:
It would be inconvenient for me to miss the connection. This is the PrivatAir operated MUC-BOS, fwiw.
Incidentally -- in the event of a missed connection, is LH usually pretty good about rebooking *A award travelers in the same class of service booked?

What's the minimum amount of time that is needed if I want to leave the airport and check out the city (nonschengen). I will have 5 hours between flights.
Also, what's the best star alliance lounge.
TIA

If you are fully checked in for your next segment and don't need to check in on the return (e.g. you have your boarding pass) then assume 1 hour into Munich, and an hour to return (assumes S-Bahn or Taxi in normal traffic).
It is quite doable. Security is generally 20 mins max on return.
