We're on UA 700, leaving at 11:20 p.m.

Girdwood sounds more and more like a plan...

Well, continue to formulate the plan and I'll update the first post as necessary. Or, I don't know if it's considered kosher, but since you're (FlyinHawaiian) a mod, I don't have any problems with you editing the post to fix any missing details (I'm sure I'm missing stuff!) in my semi-absence (as I'll be on the road and with only slow 1xRTT connections to the Internet for the next six days).

Oh, and any other Alaskans, especially Bob, feel free to add your name as a co-host to any of the dos listed above, even if there is already a host listed--I'm using the term "host" loosely, basically to mean "resident." Adding your name as a host does not require you to do any planning or take on any responsibilities other than showing up (and casting your vote for a place to gather).

I'm shocked that no one is going to ANC during the double-miles promotion in August. Fares from the East coast are pretty good right now -- $414 all-in from NYC and $444 all-in from WAS. I'm going August 23-25. Anyone around?

I actually arrive Friday night from DEN, and imagine it will be rather quickly to sleep.

Saturday, I'm planning a R/T drive to Seward, unless someone advises me I'm completely crazy.

That said, I plan on being back for the Bear Tooth on Saturday at 7:30 before heading off for the DEN flight.

Anchorage Get to gether

Found a great deal on CO last winter and plan on spending some long weekends in ANC.

Will arrive around midnight 0n 5/22 and won't leave till Mem Day, 5/26.

Have not immediate plans. Maybe like to take the train to Seward for a day trip.

Would be great to get together with any FTers in town that weekend.

Will also return for 4th of July weekend and would look forward to getting together with any Fters then too.

Bear Tooth Grill on the 24th would probably work. (I assume it's in downtown ANC.)

Bob

Trying to fall asleep in Moab, UT...but had to check FT first. Looks like none of the posts are for urgent additions/corrections, so I'll update most likely when I get back to ANC (unless FlyinHawaiian wants to make changes first). Looks like we'll be welcoming ironmanjt and rtarbuck to the Bear Tooth gathering on the 24th (it's about halfway between downtown and the airport, rtarbuck). ironmanjt, a round-trip to Seward in a day isn't crazy--the drive itself isn't too long (a couple hours), but if you plan on doing something lengthy while you're there (like a full-day glacier cruise), it may crunch you for time.Nicholas, I will be back from HI by the time you arrive, so at least I'll be around--and we'll make sure to gather the usual suspects. Will be glad to host you while you're here!

I'm off to EZE at that time.

Sorry, I don't have moderator rights for this forum.

Looking forward to my trip this weekend; I'm flying to HNL the day after I get back...

Ah...didn't know it was limited by forum (thought it was global).

Maybe we need to move this list over to the FT Wiki! (I think I've seen some links to an FT wiki somewhere...) Then I don't need to be 100% responsible for updating it!

Will be home in about 26 hours and will see about combing through it then...have to get up early to visit Pike's Peak and Garden of the Gods before my flight, or else I'd do it now! (Of course, if AS would get their on-board wireless Internet up and running--preferably with power ports, too, but that's a pipe dream--I could do it tomorrow...but they're taking forever! The initial run is supposed to be on a 737-700, I believe, and my first flight tomorrow is a -700...maybe there will be an unannounced demo! )

I'm flying into ANC on June 3, but will be compltely kna**ered after flights (via ORD and DFW) from UK. Heading off to Denali on June 4, but planning in being in ANC on evenings of June 5 (late) and June 6 if anybody fancies meeting up. Also most of the day on June 7.

Back to DFW and UK on evening of June 7.

Count me in for June 7th. I'm coming in on United 701 @ 21:40 Leaving United 700 @ 23:30. Just enough time for a few drinks!

See you then! I'll have my FT tags on display.

I leave on the 3rd. I know you'll be tired but in case you changed your mind, we can grab a quick drink at the airport that evening.
