Consistent Concierge Key treatment at ORD for BA GGL

Hello all,

I know this has been reported before, but I wanted to let you know that my experience of AA Special Services has been exceptional for the past few weeks at ORD (since earning CCR a couple of weeks ago). I get greeted at the gate every time when flying domestically on AA (and offered pre-boarding), I've had car transfers between (not that tight) connections twice, and was hurriedly rushed through security.l today. Very nice.

Have been treated very well as a GGL travelling in First on BA out of LAX every time over the past two years, but this is the first trip where I've reliably been marked out for special treatment at every viable juncture at ORD. I hope I get the same when I fly transcon out of there next week.

Good news if you have GGL/CCR!

Wow. Were your itineraries connected to BA TATL travel?

Would love to see AA Flagship Check-in be added as an official benefit for GGL like it is for CK.

was this on a BA ticket?

I've had CK treatment in JFK and LAX before but I think always on a BA ticket.

On a current AA ticket, could have really done with some special treatment / assistance connecting in ORD but it was on an AA ticket with no BA sectors on the ticket and nothing.

having said that, I have found BA MIA SS outstanding and their help with arrival last week was top notch VIP treatment

I fly AA a fair amount, but no such treatment for me yet in the first 4-5 months as GGL/CCR at JFK, LAX, ORD, PHX, or PHL. But I did receive a "welcome to Gold for the first time" (not GGL) greeting at the T5 F checkin desk last week, much to the agent's embarrassment when we realized I was GGL!

Nor me, over the last 3 years. I'd be such a happy bunny if there was a way of getting GGL status acknowledged in an AA reservation such that we got CK TLC...

I've had this twice in the last 3 weeks. Once in CLT and once in LAX. Both were AA tickets with no BA sectors at all.

I've had some of this recently (but never limo transfers!) on some - but not all - flagship transcons (JFK, SFO, LAX) when connecting to/from BA sectors, but never on any other routes, including other transcons. It seems hit and miss to me.

How many CK holders do AA have? Does it correspond with GGL?

I would have thought that CK would have been more aligned with BA Premier to be honest but can't complain at getting special services with AA!

I think there are thousands of CKs like GGLs. My sense was premiers numbered in the hundreds?

These flights have been a mixture of Main Cabin, domestic First and Transcon First, but I've been on the Flagship check-in list for every flight, which is a privilege usually reserved for only Concierge Key. All flights were on AA tickets. No one quite seems to understand if there's an official tie-up between GGL/CCR and CK, but even today (sitting in the Flagship Lounge at JFK, about to head to JFK), a woman has come up to me to say she'll escort me to the gate. Nice touches.

Me too at CLT recently, but this was once in a 6 sector AA F trip

The more interesting Q is whether CKs are getting SS treatment on BA? If so that's a step up from what most GGLs get...

Also literally just been called directly by CK to tell me that my flight was delayed but I'd still be fine with my connection to SLC in LA. This is great.
