For his sake I am relieved to hear that. For your sake, less so.

The single most important reason to get Global Entry.

For his sake I am relieved to hear that. For your sake, less so.

I've had some great CK treatment this week:

1. JFK: travelling with Jamier45, we got a cadillac to drive us to the gate area and at the gate, a CK agent was looking for me. We got escorted onto the plane before boarding started.

2. ORD: escorted from the lounge to the gate where they then announced that Concierge Key could board now so again, I was on board before anyone else.

3. JFK: escorted from lounge past boarding queues to my seat.

4. LHR: met with a sign and driven from T3 to T5 due to tight connection. great service, so much more pleasant than the bus route :-)

Likewise I had meet and greets this week in LAX, CLT and PHX. CLT also had a new boarding pass ready for the missed connection and even collected me from the lounge to pre-board me. My only "gripe" is how do you find one when you need one, as the gate agents had no idea what I was talking about when one of my flights was getting more and more delayed...

You don't. They find you if they are available to assist.

I've just qualified for GGL and have some flights booked this year (booked when I was Gold).

I realise that these benefits are a bonus when they happen but do you think I would need to call AA and have them remove and then add my exec no, or should their system update automatically, to show I have BA GGL?

What benefits are you expecting to happen? The CK service to the extent it is offered for GGLs seems a bit hit and miss, it certainly isn't automatic.

For reference I have been a GGL for over two years now and must have taken over 50 flights on AA since. I have yet to have any interactions with a CK agent - not that I have ever wanted for anything.

Nifty! I've seen the agents with tablets with "Concierge Key" written on them when disembarking on AA at LHR so I assume in your case they had one with your name on it?

It updates automatically on AA. You don't need to call and remove the number.

agreed. I have had it from time to time but not always and some of the times, it's been a bit 'pointless' (i.e. a 'hello' at the gate asking if everything has been ok). obviously transfers etc can be very handy.

I didnt notice if it said Concierge Key or not - it was one of their electronic boards with my name and we then disappeared through a different door, down some stairs and into a waiting mini bus. I think the reason here was more a delayed arrival and tight connection rather than a 'standard' CK treatment.

I'm flying into DFW next Monday (with a 5 hour connection).
I'm flying into MIA next Wednesday (with a 6 hour connection).
I'm flying into JFK next Wednesday (with a 2 hour connection).

I can't imagine CK will help me, but we'll see - a JFK meet would be helpful!

Does anyone have any experience with CK at DFW or MIA? I've never seen any reference to CK for GGL at these airports on here, and these are my most common airports on AA and have never had any interaction with them at either.

I'll aim to report back after my flights.

For clarity sake, and with the new boarding arrangements in place with AA, I presume GGL can board when they call for Concierge Key?

Will be interested to see what happens there.

Out of interest, do Qatar recognise GGL when you fly with them?
