Oh, and it's now a very happy Friday. Got a £3k payment today from the taxman for overpayment last year 
I feel the need to go and buy some gadgets.

Friday ... off to Hospital for a couple of days. 
On the plus side, although not as good as DYKWIA, we each got £80 [and a few pennies] repayment from HMRC this week

Had a hospital appointment cancelled for today, yesterday late afternoon. Trying frantically to get me seen before I go back to work (may need a CT scan).
One day closer till I have to go back to work.
Still waiting for a substantial cheque for PPI I didn't know that I was due (just had a look at the Ring Video Doorbell DYKWIA).
Should have spent the day with my mother but she wasn't feeling well.
But on the plus side, I'm still home in Scotland with Irn Bru aplenty. Seeing an old mate I haven't seen in quite some time on Sunday for a catch-up. And have Flyertalk to read through if the weekend goes t175-up like today

Just landed in EWR after a very pleasant WTP flight on a 789 - cabin half empty so 2 seats to myself and everything worked as it should. Enjoyed the new F wing earlier.
Wish I could say the same for the Hilton at EWR. Not the most luxurious hotel I have ever been in

Enjoying the fine weather in San Francisco (still Friday here for another 5hrs).
Also enjoyed the widespread power failure this morning that took out quite a lot of things including, from what i saw, the entire traffic light system.

Last day in the office (Friday) before a 2 week trip to Europe and Asia. Bank just texted me to say my main ATM card had been cancelled (??) a new one is in the post.
Thank goodness my bank is able to issue new cards in house at my local branch...
