Reminder: you must enroll and select AS as your airline BEFORE making a reimbursable purchase. Click HERE to enroll.
As of June 2017 gift certificates are no longer reimbursed. Link to buy gift certicates

According to this thread in the Alaska forum the reimbursement of Alaska Club memberships is no longer a problem. To see how much of your annual credit you've used, log in to AmEx, select the card in question, choose "Membership->Benefits" off the menu bar, scroll down to see the travel credit benefit. (with thanks to Lumpylump76)

Tickets cancelled within 24 hours are refunded back to the card used for the purchase. Tickets for travel dates > 60 days out can be deposited to your wallet when cancelled (this has not been true for some time). Change fees may apply depending on your status. Change fees are waived for MVP Gold and MVP Gold 75k members according to this page: https://www.alaskaair.com/content/mi...ID:MileagePlan (expand "service benefits" towards the bottom of the page). The wallet funds will expire one year after the issue date of the original ticket.

Is Amex still reimbursing Alaska GC as it is showing up as Alaska Gift Card on the statement. My Ritz Carlton card did not reimburse me for Alaska GC because of this.

Gold PRG

Another June 2015 datapoint with the new Amex PRG Gold card: an additional miles purchase of 2,500 miles (~2cpm) in conjunction with a paid flight reservation on AS was automatically refunded 3 business days later.

I've used $180 of my reimbursements so far this year.

If I buy a $25 GC (which is the min amount on the AS website), will AMEX credit me $20 of that $25? Or is that a no go?

I wont be flying AS rest of the year, and would hate to lose out on the last $20 I can get reimbursed..

Still Works fine

2x $50 and 1x $100 GC still worked fine though the transaction does say Gift Cert.

I did the exact same thing, 2 x $50, 1 x $100 - worked great.

I probably did things incorrectly, but I purchased 1 $200 GC and it has not been credited and it's been over a month. Should I have bought 4 smaller amounts?

Yes, it's been widely suggested that you but 100$ or less.

They should reimburse 20$, not the whole 25$ though.
