See below in the expanded wiki for the list of the reconfigured aircraft.

December 3, 2015 Alaska announced a reconfiguration of its fleet.

You can find the scheduled tail number of your flight here:

(replace as123 with as[your flight num])
However aircraft swaps are frequent, even up to the last hour.

Arrow Consolidated 739/ER reconfigured F/PE/Y 16/24/138 Thread [Completed]

My wife and I have flights in F on May 16 SEA-DFW and return May 30 (her birthday). It's part of a larger intinary transferring from Alaska to Qatar Airways in DFW to contimue on to South Africa in Business ( using 150K AAdvantage miles pp. SEA-CPT RT)

How many a/c are being refurbished per month? Seems like a year to get through the -800s, so I'm guessing that we have about a 40% chance of a refurbished jet if SEA-DFW remains a -900, and better if there is a switch to a -800.

I'm a big guy and could enjoy the extra 6 inches

I don't recall what the timeline was for the -900s but it took about 3 months to re-configure all 61 -800s.

If you are on a -900 you should have a 99.99% chance. If it's a -900ER you'll have about a 20% chance. The timeline for the -800's was just shy of four months. The -900/-900ER's will take just over a year.

Are they really doing 900s only first and not 900ERs? What about new 900ERs coming in? Are they coming in with the new config?

Time to start the 900 reconfig thread? What intel do our insiders have on the first A/C?

That's what the schedule shows.

I think the first few will enter service with out the mod. The rest will be modded after delivery but before they enter service.

How many -900 and -900ERs currently

To the insiders and other posters:

Thanks for the info!

How many -900 and -900ERs are there currently? Is AS receiving/acquiring both models?

Are the exit rows still basically the same as before the reconfiguration? I have 17D reserved and it's not showing as any extra legroom on the seat map.

Alaska has only a dozen -900s and none on order as well as 52 -900ERs. More ERs are on order, but not sure how many.

According to Wikipedia, the numbers are 12, 53 and 17, respectively.

OK, can someone help me? I am trying to book a flight from SEA to PVR in April. Some of the flights are on a 737-800 but when I click on the seat map it shows three rows of first (as it should) but no PE??? What is happening?

Other flights I am booking to DCA show the correct seat map with PE.

Maybe on that flight it could sub for a 900 and they want to keep people from picking row 4 just in case but don't want to sell PE on the flight in case they can't deliver that.

Some of the PVR flights are -700s. Three rows of F but no Premium Class.

It appears that AS reconfigured 15-20 a/c per month for the -800s. If they keep the same pace, the dozen -900s should be done by end of February, and the existing -900ERs by end of May.

Therefore, my odds of getting a reconfigured a/c in mid- to late-May should be better than 20%. Hopefuly we can close the Wiki before Indepdence Day

Well you are talking to one of the sources in the know. Love the optimism though ^
