Yes, SFO-CDG was on old NEV4 seats, but they were actually not so bad. It's the 2-3-2 configuration that was not so good.

Apparently the 777 on this route is still mostly configured with the older seats (NEV4, perhaps NEV3 sometimes, not sure); from time to time you get BEST.

I finally gave up on Air France for my trip to Paris this Friday returning Novembre 18 out of YVR. The airline basically promised Vancouver that the new interiors would be used on Flights 374 & 379. But that has only happened on occasional days, and my dates kept showing Nev4 interiors. Luckily I was able to cancel my ticket due to a gazillion scheduling changes on the return connections. Am now flying KLM out of YVR to AMS then BOD. Returning from CDG on Delta via Seattle in November. I live in Seattle, so will just "miss" my final connection SEA-YVR. Did all of this for an unbelievably low fare. Just flew YVR to HKG earlier this month on Air Canada. Brand new interior, really really awesome seats, but terrible food. Anyway, am so disappointed with Air France. In fact with Flying Blue as well. What a complicated system they have for linking with partners. There ARE no links!

I wonder if they even market their intercontinental business product.

They have to know it looks bad when the competition always has lie flats and they don't.

They had engaged in extensive advertising campaign of their new seats. On routes where they start to introduce BEST, AF has targeted advertising campaign at the outstation.

I believe that this is can be counterproductive.
For example, they did such ads in HK. But there is less than a 50% chance to get BEST on the daily AF flight. Some people in HK are furious of their experience as they got NEV instead. When you get burnt once, you are not willing to try again. If I m still alive, I will wait another 5 years to be assured that A380s are converted. But even then, you got always get a tech on a 77W and the swap by a NEV 77W.

Looks like AF37 in the last few days had the BEST configuration (F-GSPB). Has this been scheduled at all or just a last-minute substitution? I'm booked on AF37 next month and while I know it is NEV4, but it would be a nice surprise if it was swapped to BEST

I believe a last minute substitution, but I might be wrong of course.
AF has not published any update for several months now, and a new one would be welcome

It looks like the BEST 772 will be flying to BOM starting on ~October 30 when the aircraft on the route switches from an A332, if someone wants to add it to the wiki.

Or at least that is what I noticed for what they are advertising on my seatmaps and other dates as well (and AF recently added Mumbai on best.airfrance.com)

The 1-2-1 configuration was very good and afforded decent privacy for single travelers on the two sides, as those solo seats angled towards the window. In the center, the two seats angled towards each other and, while conducive to couples traveling together, also afforded privacy for the other passengers in general, as the center seat occupants are mostly facing the video screen and would need to turn to look at the window passengers to the side.

Each seat features a big compartment for storage of the headset and is big enough to store amenity kit, glasses, etc. Great design, very convenient.

However, I don't understand the key feature. Both my partner and I found that, at full flat, the seat felt uncomfortable, almost as if it's "too" flat, and our lower backs were seemingly thrusted upward a bit. It's actually better to raise the seat up a bit to counteract this awkward feeling. Any tips on how to best position this seat for optimal comfort for sleeping?

The service was, as usual, professional and excellent. Food & drinks were good, too. Despite my desire to get some sleep, I ended up watching 6 movies and catching almost no sleep, possibly in part due to the uncomfortable sleeping position.
Do you think I can expect a B&B cabin on the AF85 flight next summer 2017? Today, the cabin planed is 6 rows with 2-3-2 seats with a 777-300ER. If I want to fly with a B&B, do I need to choose LAX as departure?

Do you think that Air France could operate B772 B&B on the route to Santiago (SCL) by next summer 2017?

Regards,
Telex

What I understood: the 25x B772 will have the B&B cabin next summer and only 19x B777-300 will have a B&B cabin.
It looks no B&B on SFO. But, I don't have the crystal ball also.
