I mean weird looking food items with extremely pretty presentation. Many gourmands like this sort of thing, but growing up in NYC and vicinity, I prefer less adventurous fare. When I go to a nice restaurant, and they bring out the bread with garlic and oil with no butter, I ask for butter. Some restaurants turn their nose at me as they bring a slab of industrial butter from the kitchen, but...c'est la vie.

Well I'm more of a West Coast person in regards to food so I like what you call "CA cusine." For example, my favorite fast food is not a slice of pizza but a spicy chicken teriyaki at one of the many small teriyaki places in SEA. However, in NYC I would eat pizza if I were to have any type of fast food. I actually prefer bread with garlic and oil than with butter. Whatever fits for you.

Where are the massage controls located? Are they those 3 buttons that are inside the armrest where you're fold-out table lives?

Yes, the three buttons under the armrest control the massage function. And they do work - in fact, one set of buttons controls massage behind your legs.

Some people have complained they do not work or they are "very mild". On all my flights they have worked just fine, but you have to know what you're doing to set them up. If in doubt, ask the "Host" (lead FA).

How about a lesson for us, SFO 1K? Let's call the forward-most set of buttons "buttons #1" and so on. I only can figure out what buttons#1 do.

hehe...I still haven't deciphered those, and so far, no one at VX has been able to give me a definitive answer (it changes depending on who I ask - lol). I suspect the guy who writes the ikea instruction sheets ended up doing the labels for those massage buttons.

It's always worked for me too, once enough button presses gets it going...although I didn't know about the leg one. Massage function is really nice on transcon.

Maybe they should put F seat instructions in their Red guide That'll also inform the Y pax of the features they could be getting if they book F.
