Yes, the three buttons under the armrest control the massage function. And they do work - in fact, one set of buttons controls massage behind your legs.

Some people have complained they do not work or they are "very mild". On all my flights they have worked just fine, but you have to know what you're doing to set them up. If in doubt, ask the "Host" (lead FA).
