Better call today
I'm not sure if the Club CS staff works on the weekend so you better call today to take advantage.

I had trouble with them honoring it a few weeks ago. The club agents said no via email and on the phone. I sent an email to customer relations and it was resolved within 3 days with the PQMs.
Just be persistent.

My US Club membership doesn't expire until the end of August but I tried to renew online yesterday to receive the 5000 PQM before the end of May. Unfortunatley, I got a voicemail today on my home phone from a Club Rep that it was too early to renew and my credit card will not be charged. Looks like I will miss this good promotion.

I called to test the waters and they said I could do it (mine expires in early August). However, given that I'm going to be safely in the Plat realm next year with very little hope of going to CP, I opted against it.
Instead I got the Citi Exec card today. It comes with the Admirals club membership so most of the annual fee is paid for. They're actually offering 100,000 miles if you spend $10k in three months. That is a nice bonus!

Thoughts on whether US will renew this offer later in the year? My club membership expires in Nov and I have always taken advantage of the fall promotion. Curious whether everyone things they will run it again being that the merger is progressing.

Wondering the same thing. I've got firm plans this year for 45,000 PQMs, would love to be able to renew the Club and be done with worrying about reaching Gold again.

I purchased a club renewal on May 29th in hopes of getting the 5000PQM bonus. My club membership wasn't going to expire until August 2014 but thought I would try due to success from other FlyerTalk members. I received my new card but didn't receive the bonus miles. I emailed the Chairman's Preferred department and unfortunately got the respones below - any suggestions from anyone who has had similar issue? Thanks.
Thank you for contacting US Airways Club Services.
The 5,000 bonus mile offer was in place for over one year. US Airways decided to end that offer on March 30, 2014. Many bonuses and promotions are only in effect for a few months however this offer existed longer. Promotions and bonus offers are subject to change and we regret that we are not able to offer the bonus miles for your membership renewal.
We appreciate your continued patronage of US Airways.
Sincerely,

Has anyone heard anything about a new promotion to incent club renewal? I need some PQMs and this was a great way to get 5000 PQMs without doing a mileage run.
I am actually thinking of letting my club membership lapse since this promo is gone.

I believe I read that Club rebranding will happen 1Q 2015 (maybe sooner?), so I wouldn't expect to see any promotions in the future.

This promotion isn't likely to be continued. Both AA and US have been working to "standardize" service & products between carriers, with a deference to AA. AA doesn't have a 5K EQM promo for the Admiral's Club so it's unlikely that perk on the US side will be offered again.
