Just bought the 2 wine glasses for total of $24 including S and H and taxes. I figured i buy something i can use.
Vinesse recognized me as a member as I ordered the wine subscription about a year ago but canceled after I received the bonus miles for Alaska Air.
Hope being a present member would still work for the "hit"
Anyone else a recognized member on Vinesse when you ordered?

In fact, except where subscription is specifically required in the T&Cs to earn a hit, it would appear that any partner will earn a hit no matter whether a subscription is included as part of the products offered. The analogy appears to be with the Audience Rewards hit where purchasing a ticket was originally thought required and now earning miles through trivia will apparently do the trick.

The terms and conditions of GS don't require you to be a new member of Vinesse; they simply require a purchase. The questions earlier in this thread about subscribing arose because the landing page from the US website put you in the subscription section of the website. Good marketing, but not part of the T&Cs (or the rules where they supplement).

The October statement to day lists an additional 5 purchases that I hope are hits but none are the Wine book and 10 other purchases I made prior to 10/2/11, expecting them to be hits have also not appeared. I don't know wheather the book purchase will be a hit or not and also don't know if US Airways has given me a hit for the 1K enrollment in the Vinesse wine club and if they will take it all away because I Quit after 2 months, albeit before the Grand Slam started. Delays in posting are expected but the question of what a Venesse hit needs is still open for me.
