I read somewhere yesterday that MXP, BRU and DUS are going. Not sure if it's good information or not.

Last Saturday I flew GRU-JFK and it was eerie to have a 767-300 with 46 passengers in the three classes. And, bearing in mind that intl passengers connecting through MIA were being routed through JFK as MIA flight was canceled.

But then all the airlines were leaving empty ! Never have I seen GRU airport that empty...

This route is usually overbooked and overloaded and bump-ups are "easy" to get... The Sunday evening before, one day prior to Sep.11 this flight(JFK-GRU) left JFK fully loaded in all the classes. I was travelling under a SWU and even so I had to endure coach... Apparently passengers were left at JFK...

I believe that UA 805/806 between SIN & HKG are being removed from the schedule as of 30 Sep or 1 Oct. UA moved me to the SIN-NRT-SFO (890/852) automatically this morning as I had been on UA 806 (SIN-HKG-SFO). I think that the SFO-HKG (805/806) remain.

I am on #831 MIA-Rio and 828834 Rio-Sao Paulo-ORD soon, and all FINALLY upgraded with SWUs. What's the bet they'll amalgamate or dump these routes now that's been confirmed.

The London FA's on yesterday's LHR-LAX flight were worried that London would no longer have locally based FA's.

Basenji, thanks for the heads up.

I'm flying to BKK on the 25th, booked in C and wanted to upgrade on the flight out of SEA. I got one of the rudest staff members on the 1K line and was told that there was no space to upgrade. So, I booked on SQ/TG. Called today on another flight and an agent, who clearly gets that they need high revenue customers, tried everything to get me to swtich to UA metal. When will some of the agents get it?

I personally hope they do not get a salary cut. I hope they get furloughs. It is time for them to go. I hate to say this with all of the bad news but let's see them lead by example.

Back when government bail-out was first mentioned, many, many House and Senate representitives were stating that they could not support any bail-out plan without senior airline execs taking major cuts in both salary and bonus.

Was at BRU going to LHR... Spoke to some of the UA folks - said they were worried that the IAD-BRU would go as the AA/Sabena flights into BRU are drying up and IAD-BRU doesn't demand the traffic it used to.

I've flown Several Intra Europe flights since the last two weeks:

LHR-MUC
MUC-LYS
LYS-FRA
FRA-ORY
CDG-LHR
LHR-BRU
BRU-LHR

The only flight that had light loads was FRA-ORY which was last Wednesday... I won't say things are picking up but flights aren't full but the loads seem about 60-70% - a few weeks ago most flights were 80-90+ and many were oversold.

And once things improve, I'm sure they'll forget that this was a temporary measure. All the more frustrating if there's less food service available airside in the terminals.

First I wish to let you know that I appreciate your valued input here on FT and having been a 1K for many years wish to also extend my support to you and your co-workers in these trying times. I hope you are able to avoid the axe as we need FA's like you.

Second, while I realize that low loads on certain long haul international flights exist, I am wondering if the international cuts you refer to will mean the loss of any UA Asia or Pacific destinations altogether? I would think that various duplicated US-NRT would go first?
