Help RE: EQMs

I am probably having a dumb movement, but I thought I would ask here before I panic from confusion. My SO and I have flown, flight for flight, the same flights this year. We both signed up for DEQM. I have 43,147 EQM's, he has 33,439. Its such an odd difference between our mileage amounts...Can someone slap me over the head as to where this difference comes from? I am trying to figure out what we need to do in order to get 1P before the end of the year, and I want to make sure the numbers are right...

Did you track your flights? I can only recommend creating a spreadsheet and making sure all your miles were credited. If you both flew the exact same flights, and signed up for the promo at the same time but have a 10,000 EQM difference, your SO didn't get some of their flights credited.

Figure out where the shortfall happened and call MP.

I am working off our mileage summaries...they match. Next is for me to pop it into excel, but I was hoping there was something stupid I was missing.

AKKKK! I didn't mean to put this into Mileage Run. Moderator, please move to UAL forum.

Another thought; did you both sign up for the DEQM promotion at the same time? Did your SO sign up several flights after you?

I'll send you the spreadsheet I use to track EQM and lifetime miles--those are the categories you need to track yourself, as you can't really get them from your UA MP website....

Do you have a Chase Platinum Visa?

Are you booked on different fare classes than your SO? (for example, does your company book you in C and your SO tags along in an upgraded economy ticket?)

My guess is the DEQM didn't post. But, you need to do the math yourself. UA's mileage summary isn't terribly useful for EQM.

The mileage summaries won't be helpful - they don't include EQM. You need to call UA and ask for your EQM history as well as your SO's. One possibility is that his DEQM registration didn't go through - did you print out his "My Promotions" page after registering?

Will they provide a EQM history? How? Fax? email? That would make life easy...

I do have a Plat Visa, but all of these seats were paid for by Type B vouchers, so none of them would have gained extra EQMs. I can do 1 RT cross country to get 1P, but he needs to do 3 of them.

They should be able to do it right over the phone.

The MP rep can tell you the # of EQMs from BIS miles, COS, Visa and *A Partners as well as DEQM. One of those (or more) are different between the two of you. G'Luck figuring it out .

One other thing that might be different between you - did you have any carryyover EQM from last years choices? Is the VISA new this year?

Even if it were carryover...such an odd number? I will call them today.
