Exactly right RNOHoosier. And you have to try carrying your own minis or maybe a mouthwash bottle of some nice scotch. You can carry your favorites instead of having to sometimes contend with swill. Personally I have no problem paying the FA $5 for the drink.

And any FA serving as much at their own discretion is a good thing. It makes the airlines more money and I have never heard of a sloshed passenger making a crash any worse. I bet cblaisd would be a big fan of FA's using a breathalyzer on passengers before serving drinks. Drinking on united should be thought of as doing a service to all United Mileage Plus forum members because you are giving the airline revenue with a 60% profit margin.

If an FA has a moral objection to alcohol then being an FA is a horrible, horrible career choice for them...and for United....and, most importantly, for me!
