United Cargo also showing a 77Q for the Sunday 914 flight, which I'm on! Also still showing old seat map with about 8 unsold seats in C. Who knows where I'll be sitting, but glad I used a CR-1 for the upgrade which cleared about a week ago. Crossing fingers!

Is anyone at SFO that can take a look at UA914 (gate 84?) and post the tail and/or nose number?

UA website shows the bird has left the gate (11 mins early):

However, FlightAware shows it still hasn't taken off yet:

Did UA decide not to fly the reconfigured plane today to IAD? The seatmap for both 914 and 975 reverted back to the "old version" and unitedcargo.com is also showing B777. The new version is still showing as scheduled for these flights for tomorrow, though. Can anybody who flew/is flying today on these flights confirm?

I noticed that as well. I guess we'll have to wait until they land this afternoon to get firsthand reports!

I'm guess it's not, just because if it was, some FTer would have posted from his/her iPhone/*berry.

It looks like it was not the new config today....acars is showing that UA914 is being operated by N769UA.

Does ACARS only report on what is in the air? Because it would make perfect sense for N769UA to be operating UA914 from IAD to CDG....ACARS have anything for 914L?

I would guess there is a physical separation similar to the 763 (and the current 777). No conclusion from the 744 as there F is separated from C by the exit doors and galley. I meant to say the 3 row section feels more private vs. the current aft C-class.

Wondering what the "L" stands for.

UnitedCargo has it listed as a 777 under flight status, not a 77Q, so I guess today's not the day.

Flight Status

Flight Number: 914 Flight Date: Friday, Apr 23, 2010
Origin Airport Destination Airport Type of Aircraft Scheduled Departure Time Adjusted Departure Time Scheduled Arrival Time Adjusted Arrival Time
SFO IAD 777 08:02 07:51 16:01 15:50
IAD CDG 777 17:24 On Time 06:55 On Time
New plane still on the route tomorrow, allegedly.

Yes. as of now united cargo still shows 914 on 4/24 as a 77Q.

The flight is still showing the old seat map in .bomb. This is true both when I access our itineraries and when making a dummy standard award booking in E. Flight is apparently zeroed out in F and C as a standard award attempt for SFO -> IAD in those classes on 4/24 will not show 914 at all.

Keep your appendages crossed. You'll get a trip report with photos if we're on the new bird tomorrow.

Perhaps unecessary confirmation at this point, but I'm at IAD and the frame here for 975 is N780UA, so the old configuration for today. Good luck tomorrow.
