I find shrimp to be almost universally overcooked, except when done with care. I'll eat most pig products at every step, but I love smoked salmon.
To the poster mentioning the Asian sesame dressing: It's been on offer for at least a few months now.

If you haven't seen proscuitto for breakfast (and often a vast variety of it) you haven't been in Germany or adjascent countries.

For me
smoked salmon > salmon >>>>> prosciuitto > shrimp
Best fish I had on an airplane was Qantas serving barramundi in a curry sauce over a bed of rice. Surprisingly spicy and very flavourful, though I suspect some would not like curry!

Yes, I have. I know very, very few people who won't eat salmon, and all of those except one also won't eat shrimp either. Shrimp and prosciutto eliminate anyone who keeps kosher, is watching their cholesterol intake, or is concerned with foodborn illnesses (in the case of shrimp) - a not insignificant number of people.

Enough said.

What I do not like about the salmon is it tastes like a fish

Not sure if this has been mentioned but it's a wonderful option for those of us 'vegetarian's' who only eat fish. It sure beats being served some crummy 'asian curry' crap and shrink-wrap rye bread that United likes to think vegetarian people enjoy :P

I've tried that with flatulent or overly talkative pax in the next seat. However the FAs never take them away.
