Back when we got personalized luggage tags for elite status each year (i.e. up until last year), they also had million miler status on them. Since they're not personalizing them anymore, no dice.

After five years of heavy flying, I crossed the 1MM mile marker last night from DCA - ORD. Feels good!

I passed the 1million miles departing from TXL to EWR in January, received a nice card signed by the crew including the pilot and my "wings". Was in E+ as I had run out of GPU's, the gate agent came on and told me to grab my stuff and move to BC. Nice touch and greatly appreciated by me.

Don't you already live in BC?

Actually I am very surprised TXL-EWR/SFO had BF seats left when the door was closed.

Great appreciation by the crew. Congratulations to be in 1MM.

Great appreciation by the crew. Congratulations to be in 1MM.
The BC cabin was almost empty, I think I counted like 7 or 8 people.

I crossed to 1MM on Friday, on a flight from COS to ORD (and then connected on to ORD to IAD). No acknowledgement. But, to be fair, I switched to an earlier ORD to IAD leg than I was originally booked on and there might have been something planned for my original segment.

I made a million miles on United last year and since then, other than the lifetime gold status for me and my wife, there has been no benefit or acknowledgment by United on any flight. What has been the experience of others?

Sadly, that's largely a thing of the past. I got no acknowledgement for 2MM, and that was even pre-merger.

I witnessed a MM acknowledgment on KIX-SFO on Saturday. The purser (or "flight service manager"...same thing?) was going row to row and welcoming BF customers by name, using his ipad or whatever electronic device they carry now. Upon getting to the row across from me he congratulated the passenger for reaching MM status on the flight. He said, "they just sent me a note about it" [on his device]. So someone was proactively looking after the milestone.

The passenger had an appropriately snarky FF reply: "i'm not sure that's something you should be congratulating me for."

I am about to make 1MM on my flight LAX-PVG this afternoon, and am quite excited about making MM status as it has predominantly been on UA metal. I was just met disembarking from the connecting flight SAN-LAX and escorted to the United Mercedes and driven across the tarmac to the Lounge. I think the driver and escort were somewhat bewildered by how excited I was by this experience. What a start to the beginning of my 1MM flight, and I am upgraded to BF. Thank you United. You do appreciate my business. Not sure who arranged this for me, but I am very thankful!

Really cool (and fortunate) that your MM flight was LAX-PVG. That is an upgrade worth having. Would have been a pisser if you had passed 1MM on your SAN-LAX and only gotten the fancy seat for 45 minutes.
