UA Million Miler/Multi-Million Miler Roll Call Thread

Anyone know how many Million Mile flyers there are out there? I'm one.

(With mod hat on): I'll adjust the thread title to alert others to this as a "roll-call" thread.

See post #11 for a total of MMers reporting in the thread.

From an article in 2005:

"Of the 120 million frequent-flier club members of all the world's airlines, Petersen estimates, about 307,000 have earned more than 1 million miles in at least one airline's program. That's about one in 400. About 70% of the mileage millionaires live in North America, and about 250,000 of them are in the programs of American, United and Delta, he says."

http://www.usatoday.com/travel/flights/2005-02-22-million-milers-usat_x.htm''

So however many MP members there are figure .25% are MM's if this holds true.

You could well be right as to the number of MM's in MP, but I 'suspect' that Randy was talking about people who have more than a million RDM's in their accounts rather than 1MM BIS miles, which is the question asked by the OP.

If I'm wrong, I'm sure our host will correct me. ;)

The article was specifically talking about million-miler programs, I know that AA's done by accumulated miles, but I took it to be referring to BIS Miles.

I am asking about BIS milers. I have millions of accumulated miles in my bank but was interested in the number who actually have BIS MM
thanks

You'll be able to +1 to the number, what ever it is, in about 8 - 12 years when I get there. :D just over 215K BIS miles for this frequent flyer. (Most of which came in the past 2 years...)

Apparently the only way to know BIS for sure, is to ask everyone.

1K_From_SNA is.

Total so far = 1

I'm a 0.135 MM !, so that might count for 1/10 of a point . . .

1k-all-the-way is = 3.

Number five (including the OP who is MM).

(With mod hat on): I'll adjust the thread title to alert others to this as a "roll-call" thread.

Tally: as of post 645 (1/2/12) we have 308 MMers reporting in this thread (including a few spouses or work colleagues of members).
Of those, 36 are 2MMers or above, with one of them UA's highest-tallied FFer, a 10MMer.

To keep the count based on a uniform method, this count includes only those who qualified under the original (legacy) UA method of counting only actual flight miles on UA/UX. Going forward, we can count those who've qualified as a result of combining CO/UA miles, including those who've had EQM's added on 12/31/11.

Add 2. I have over 2 million BIS miles and one of my Business partners does as well.
