Only logically they may have had DC10 service to ORD. But with TWA having a huge presence there the entire time UA had widebody domestic service and STLs size, I doubt it.

Remember that UA was never in STL in the 70s and did not start service in STL until roughly 1983, so there was no built-in need for high capacity in/out of STL particularly with TW hubbing there. TW did fly a widebody up to ORD (generally they routed a flight STL-ORD-LHR to make up the flight)

TWA in the good old days. I flew a TWA 747 from STL to Hawaii 32 years ago. Now there is actually one trans-Atlantic flight from STL to Frankfort three days per week. Lufthansa A330. Flew that one last year. Nice to have trans-Atlantic from STL again, but theyre giving us their old planes. The TV didnt work.
