I just noticed I had 320 Plus Points deposited into my account on April 23, in two buckets (one for 280, one for 40). I only have 13,521 PQP in 2020 so far. Gift horse?
EDIT: maybe this is just the belated add of the 320 for 1K/GS? |

At 13,521 PQP, you've requalified for 1K under the reduced thresholds. Hence, 320 PQPs.

...but they've changed a variety of small things in the transformation from GPUs to PPs, so you never know. (E.g. Now, upgrades with PPs can be requested up until check-in closure; with GPUs, it was T-24.) Thank you.

If my friends used a Chase co-branded card to book their award flights (Hawaii - SFO), am I allowed to use PlusPoints to waitlist them for upgrades, or does it have to be cash tickets only?

Only award tickets booked with GS miles are eligible for PlusPoints (from the GS's account) upgrades

Oh thanks. I guess I'll have to use my own miles to upgrade them then.
It is possible to waitlist for a business class award ticket but the miles have to come from the original account. |

That will not work either. Non-GS award tickets are not upgradeable with "miles" either.

If I want to change an already confirmed PlusPoints upgraded flight to a flight with no PZ available right now, will I be automatically put on the upgrade list? Would I have to call in to relist? Will that be affected by the fact that I have other segments that are also already upgraded?

No.
Yes (or do it online) Are you talking about a return flight or a connecting flight? Is this a SDC? This gets fairly complicated. |

It would be a connecting flight. Yes, a SDC, I'd probably do it at the airport. If too complicated, I wouldn't bother, just trying to get a flight where I can ensure an open seat next to me.
If you have already flown an upgraded leg, and you SDC to a flight with no PZ space, I do not expect that the request will carry over; instead, I believe that you'd be charged a second set of PlusPoints if you want to upgrade the second flight. This is consistent with the behavior when trying to extend PlusPoints to cover a domestic flight only after an international flight clears; SOP with GPUs, but not possible with PlusPoints. |
