2023 Physical Elite Kits (Card, Luggage Tags etc)

We know Delta continued sending their elites physical kits with luggage tags, AA resumes the same in Aug last year. Do we know if UA plans to send out physical kits to their elites?

Let’s hope not.

How about they let people claim their elite kits? Those who want the materials can claim, those who don't want the materials don't.

I agree that most of the materials are a waste but I do like the coasters and bag handles. I wonder what the 2023 color will be.
I never used the wireless charger, it's sitting on my shelf gathering dust in the original 1K packaging.

Not practical or economical to produce "on demand". As pointed out earlier - in the digital age, kits are wasteful and unnecessary.

You can't make any claims of sustainability or being eco friendly producing mass amounts of waste for no good reason.

Given how much we spend, it’s the least they can do.

I mainly just want the bag handles, though recently my flights have been on RJs less. I did fall out of 1K in 2019, so my bag handles that I do have are pretty raggedy and yellow- though I’ll probably leave them on for the ‘OG’ look.

Most people throw out more plastic from one Uber Eats meal.

I never remember coasters? Drink tickets, yes.

Doesn't have to be truly on demand . . . opt-in and then ship out all at once on, say, Feb. 15 or Mar. 1.

While I'd be fine with some digital drink certificates, can't really replicate that for bag tags/handles.

Marriott recently implemented the opt-in approach. It has worked well. The luggage tags they provided were also quite nice. So many airlines (ANA, Starlux, etc) do such a good job with luggage tags. UA should really master that.

Request luggage tags at https://mystatus.united.com

Looks like they did some branding redesign as well. The new MileagePlus logo is aligned with some of the recent wordmark changes, and color bars replacing the logo negative space "wings".
