    Way too much for the PP which I could enjoy this year with a few international trips upcoming, but may just buy some premium fares to earn it organically this year and the miles.

    After they gave away secret status extensions to people who flew less than I did, what an absolute insult. Absolutely no way I would pay that, and Delta is looking like they care a lot more about people, when they extended everyone's status.

    Been a 1K for ~7 years in the past but not worth it as I'm juggling DL Plat and UA Plat instead of throwing it all towards one program.

    Offer I got was $3004 to go from Gold to Platinum.

    Let's see, if I didn't travel at all last year, I might have gotten Gold anyways?

    This is actually worth some pondering. I spent an extra $400-$500 on the FTTF promotion to regain 1K.

    If COVId wasn’t closing so many destinations I would probably take the offer above and gamble on PPs clearing. But it requires a commitment to do INTL travel, as 1K domestic is not worth that much $

    I got the offer too and I think I will pass. I will make 1MM in February and will be content with that.

    GS --> Plat Offer

    Got an offer to buy up to Platinum - going to stick with my (nominated) GS status. Clicked on the link in the email and got a "your account is not valid" - was very intrigued to see the price they offered

    Weird. On that status purchase page it says 1K under 2022 status earned, yet it is offering to purchase 1K for around $6K. Status tracker says Plat after Feb 1.

    Just got my offer. It says I hit 9 PQF and 2570 PQP last year for my silver status (earned through FttF), so surprised to get an email with an offer at all. My [discounted] offer for gold was $3852...'regular' price was $4280. No thank you. I will admit that I'm hoping to be able to make gold again when we are post-pandemic, and hopefully back to fully normal travel patterns, including back to India at least annually, etc. I'm not convinced it will be this year...I'm hoping for next (2023), but not even sure about that.

    and that was followed by a second email that said:
    “due to Continuous shifts in the airline industry, your flight on 5/11/2022 has been cancelled”.
