United Club (ORD?) to-go coffee lids gone?

Based on recent events, I don't travel much. Got out today for the first time in a bit, and observed that there are no "to-go" lids in the ORD Lounge (near B5-ish). Confirmed with an employee that this was not an oversight.

Is this some sustainability effort? Cost cutting while disposal cups are the norm? Or just another UA effort to ensure I'm not getting too much Illy espre$$o?

Was there Tuesday and yesterday and noticed that. Both espresso machines by the rear bar are broken anyway, so I don't think they're scared about you having too much Illy. The coffee that's actually next to the bar was empty Tuesday as well. One of the two espresso machines on the other side of the lounge was working, though. The UC scene is pretty bad these days.

Drinking with lids on is disgusting anyway and hides the flavour of the coffee!

Actually this. I know its an *easy* excuse, however its not BS. and I would be willing to bet it is a supply issue.

I deal with packaging, cups, lids, etc... and getting consistent supply especially on custom designs right now is impossible.
