... If the question is about UA or other carriers junking the MAX, suspect that is not part of the plan. The airlines want to see the MAX return.

In all seriousness though, I'm surprised it took them this long. WN's and AA's have both been in storage for quite a while now. |

Ben, over at the Points Guy is reporting that United has extended its 737 MAX cancellations until December 19th. However, my late November flight is still showing a 737 MAX from ORD to IAH, so I guess it just takes a while for the changes to work through the system.

NBC News reporting that the new head of the FAA, a former Delta pilot, says he will personally fly the MAX before it gets re-certified.
I feel so much better. |

I feel so much better. I still stand by my assertion that these aircraft are technically DOA - if they ever fly again in this country, it would be late 2020, if ever again. |
Short of an empty Sears parking lot, where are they finding room to store new builds?

I won't go Omni here with my opinion of another political appointee, but this guy doing a couple touch and go's in this airplane is not going to restore the public's confidence, especially in the face of more evidence coming out consistently that links the cushy relationship between the FAA and Boeing allowing self-certification which created this debacle in the first place.
