I’m pretty sure the MSY UC opening will now be delayed.

Has anyone had experience with getting the Polaris card after arriving at Newark? Flying INTL Polaris from Europe to Newark tomorrow and have a 4 hour layover before my domestic leg. Since Polaris lounges used to be accessible even for domestic legs on the same day, am I eligible to get one of the premium drink cards?

Yes, ask at the UC desk when checking in. Arriving Polaris passengers are eligible

I just arrived at EWR a few days ago after flying INTL Polaris from LHR to EWR. Didn't get offered anything initially (I was mainly just trying to get into the UC to speak to an agent about what was happening with a delayed flight of mine), but once I went to the bar and asked the bartender, he said I needed to get something from the desk agent (however, he trusted me, and did provide me a premium drink on my word that I would return with the card). So, I went back up, handed the desk agent my boarding passes, and he gave me a special hole punch in one of them which I showed to the bartender when I returned next time. It may be that the desk agents are less likely to automatically give you a Polaris card (or the hole punch) as they probably only look to see that your next flight still qualifies you to be in the UC, or it could just be that the agent I had didn't bother to look. Either way, it was very easy to ask for one.

MSY is because of Hurricane Ida.

Reportedly there was some "structural" work being done at DCA... no insight on what that actually means.

Question Polaris Club at Newark airport?

Any news as to when it might re-open?

I've entered with my arriving Polaris BP and had no issue getting the stamp in EWR and ORD.

The only word has been that they might soon think about maybe considering how to re-open. I.e. no chance of actually opening this year.
