I'm not sure it is documented anywhere, but seems the intent is to give Polaris customers unlimited free drinks / top shelf.

Most clubs print a 2nd copy of your boarding pass when you check in, stamp or mark it somehow, and tell you to give to the bartender. They typically keep it at the bar and you can drink what you like. If they don't mention anything to you when checking into the club...ask. They forget sometimes.

There has also been an "upgraded snack" available, which you ask for at the bar. Has typically been a pack of salami / cheese / toast rounds. Think $1.99 pack at Kroger / Hillshire Farms. Limit 1. Classy.

Hello from AUS, where the UC is so much less crowded than the rest of the airport. No hot food out, but they do have little containers of pasta salad, some tasty-looking brownies and four different kinds of potato chips.

Was in EWR C74 yesterday. A little more food than a month ago. Switched back from no-brand rice crispy treats to Kellog's. Seem to have several prepackaged food items (hummus/pita/veg, sandwich rolls, pasta salad, grain salad, etc). Still the same gas station burrito

More people too.

Actually they were not at LAX, a couple of weeks ago.
But drinks were served in real glass at SFO earlier this week.

Can anyone report on how busy the DEN UC is on a Friday morning? Considering getting one-time passes and don't want to be turned away at entry.
Thank you

Three Polaris lounges set to open later this year

While not set in stone, United Airlines plans to reopen three Polaris Lounges later this year if international demand continues its rebound.

United’s Vice President of Loyalty, Luc Bondar, whose position includes overseeing airport lounges, told Live and Let’s Fly that United hopes to open a trio of Polaris Lounges “later this year” contingent upon international travel rebounding.

While he did not name the three airports, Bondar did note that the Polaris Lounge in Washington Dulles is progressing “beautifully” and will soon be complete.

I just booked Ms. LincolnJKC and my annual (sans 2020) international anniversary trip to GVA in business for September (via ORD/FRA on the outbound and LHR/IAD on the return) -- I'm not holding my breath but it would be awesome if one were to be open, particularly given the long connect times (>14 hours in IAD...though TBH we'll probably just go to our apartment in DC regardless)

Sounds encouraging but with all those caveats (“hopes to open”; “later this year”; “contingent on”), I won’t get my hopes up. That said, IAH has a good number of PL-eligible flights operating (including *A partners, to the extent that’s relevant to UA), so here’s hoping!

Definitely an upgrade from “remobilization planning”

saw this with HT to Mathew’s Live and Let Fly.

my guess based on current traffic would be ORD, EWR and IAH as the flights to Europe have resumed and vaxxed Americans can now visit many places. Much of Central America and Brazil never closed so IAH makes sense. IAD is a possibility but you already have *A lounges there that are open to some premium passengers.

Unfortunately I don’t see SFO or LAX making sense now as Asia will remain closed to Americans for the foreseeable future. Hopefully the E lounge will open soon at SFO as F can be crowded and not convenient to E

Haven’t seen any work going on there, but maybe they are coming and going from outside or downstairs. In the meantime, the LH and TK lounges are still at their COVID-limited level of service.

Forgot that I was a Polaris pax at EWR C74 UC

Or perhaps, my mind was still in Iceland when I was physically at EWR UC. 😂😂

Wow, do we think UA built in enough escape clauses in case it doesn't happen? Michael Jackson would have been impressed with the level of "moon walking" in that presser
