Threads on other 787 variants:
787-8
787-10
Polaris Seats
- As with Polaris on other planes, odd numbered rows A/L seats are closest to windows and typically provide views
- Even numbered A/L seats are closest to aisle
- Odd numbered D/F seats are best for couples who want to talk - there is a large partition that can be lowered, and the seats are adjacent to each other
- Even numbered D/F seats have a smaller partition and are further apart (on the aisle) but couples can communicate.
- Seats in Rows 1 and 9 have larger/wider footwells

Everything You Want to Know about Where to Sit on 787-9 true Polaris and PP version
The 789 with true Polaris and Premium Economy seats completed its first overseas run SFO-SIN-SFO this week.
So, looking forward to feedback about the good & not-so-good of this 789 configuration.

Hardly any (just bulkhead/bassinet) E+ in the center? Disappointing choice of configuration
And no lav on rear left side in Polaris? I believe either side in Row 6 on the PMCO J version has a lav.

Moin!
I don't understand that row 34 is only Economy Plus in ABC and not JKL. Isn't the plan symmetric? Anybody been on the plane and can shed some light on that?
So long

My guess would be that the lavatory at 2R is a few inches shorter than the galley at 2L, allowing an extra row of E+ on the left hand side.

While better than having a neighbor, I'm not a fan of the polaris seats on the 787s! I'm relatively thin and can sit comfortably in Y, but I find the seats on the 787-10 to be a bit uncomfortable!
Really wish they could have come up with an updated revision instead of using the same config as the 787-10s!
On the other hand, PremiumPlus on the 787s is very spacious and probably the best among the fleet! Good to see they kept it the same.

I had the pleasure of flying this bird LHR-LAX on Fri the 13th and it is nothing short of amazing. From row 7 the front cabin feels incredibly spacious, the new IFE software is much smoother, and the 787 layout feels better than the 77L with regard to galley and lav spacing. Obviously the one complaint is the loss of the oversize 2L lav but the others were never busy on what was a full flight before the border cutoff. I didn't go back into coach at all but can say in regards to the J cabin it's really an exceptional bird, kudos United.

+1. My preferred seat is an aisle in the middle 3 seats. No one needs to climb over you (they can climb over the other guy!) God the densification of coach has diminished the tolerable seats.

Row 42 could be the worst seats on the plane during long haul flights. Galley and the three lavatories with long lines....
Personally I have no issues with the Polaris seats on the 787-10 having flown IAD-PEK 13-hour flight and a number of transcontinental PS flights, so I don’t expect any issues with the same seats on 787-9.
Three lavatories for 209 passengers in PE, E+ and E!!! 70 passengers per lavatory?
Some of the A321 planes outside of US I have flown come with 4 lavatories in Y.....

What would the lav/pax ratio be like on such a A321?
