For United in the International Terminal: gates G1 – G14 will replace gates 91-102.

Strange I got an email about this from UA, but not about the change in the GPU system, or the change in elite qualificatons.

I received email for all three plus a text this morning about the gate renumbering. Flying tomorrow, dunno if that had anything to do with the text.

text probably connected to the flight tomorrow. They’ve been doing a lot with text on day of/before travel, especially with connections. But I also get ones about pre-clearance at YYZ.

im flying to SFO on Friday and out on Tuesday - I’ll try and remember to report if I get a text.

No email for me, even though I landed there from SIN today.

The agents have cheat sheets with the old/new numbering.

How idiotic to send that email without at least a link to the relevant SFO web page or (preferably) including the graphic from that page.

Just landed, or connecting? I could see that they wouldn't bother notifying arriving-only passengers - especially for international arrivals where it won't make any real difference at all.

So will the new signage tell me how to walk from C gates to A gates airside?

[OK, I admit this is a thinly disguised question about airside connections at SFO as I have not been their in a while and have no idea what the state of construction is. Feel free to suggest another thread]

If I'm understanding the timeline correctly, the airside connector to A won't happen until 2021 anyway :-/

I fly tomorrow. No text, this is the hugely informational email that I got:

Getting Lost is Old News for the New SFO!
There’s nothing worse than getting lost in the airport. To make San Francisco International Airport less of a maze and more a-mazing, we’ve renumbered all of our gates. This means that your chances of losing your way, go way down.
Thank you for flying with us!

There are no links, and I struggle to see that it adds any value beyond stating the obvious.

Yup, that's the entire text. There are no clickable links at all that I could find/see.

It's almost like they WANT you to get lost, so their joking use of that phrase in the email text is even more sinister.
