To find your PQDs if >than $12K
Go to
MileagePlus activity since my last statement and it is in the "Account summary" table at the top of the page.

Note this is not just the UA operated PQDs (which is commonly believed to be what matters for GS) but rather your total PQDs.

Definitions

BIS is actual scheduled flight distance (Great Circle Mileage Distance -- GCM) between airports with 500 mile minimum for elites. This is the standard used for Lifetime miles also. Those flying mostly sub-500 segments sometimes prefer to not use the minimum rule.

The definition for CPM is a bit vaguer, especially since CPM is used in multiple different situations.

Believe for the purpose of this thread, GS qualification, folks are using

PQD CPM = UA PQDs / UA BIS

Note there is no direct evidence UA uses this CPM number for GS Qualification but it is a number FTers like to use.

As for BIS, UA does not report this number your account and it needs to be manually tracked.

One way is to make use that PQMs are based on BIS but there may be a multiplier / bonus for high end fares. If always in 2x PQMs, you could divide by 2 to get BIS.

You right.... i did like 51k last year... now 75k.... but with my current exchange with united... does not matter if i did 100% united on this 74k... all that matters seems is the multiple year spent...

Wondering the same thing. My status page has me listed as 1K status for 2020..., no indication that anything is under review. I'll end the year at $65K PQD (as I complete the return from LHR today).

This is very standard, you should read nothing negative or positive concerning your chances for GS because of this.

Postponing notification as to whether one requalifies for GS into January is a stroke of genius. It keeps everyone on tenterhooks about whether they made the grade and spurs the Nervous Nellies amongst us to book flights they probably would not have booked had they requalified in December. And this likely moves the qualifying base upward-at least marginally. It has “you know who’s” fingerprints all over it. To quote Gomez Addams: “Capital idea!!”

it makes sense for someone in the $50k range, but why delay for someone with $90k? Or $150k? Frankly its a little insulting.

Same as the rest, 5 year GS (this go-around) at $72k PQS all United metal. Average about $65-70k and got first day notice (and a phone call) last 2 years. Newark based. Getting the general January message today.

...And my status just went to maintenance mode again .....

Here are my stats... I’m based out of SFO. I think I’m right on the line - what do you all think about 1st time qualification this year?

2019 PQD - $55,452 - 2 flights left this year... should end up ~$56,500; 2019 PQM - 156K; should end up at 158K
2018 PQD - $39,829; PQM - 153,202
2017 PQD - $24,524; PQM - 116,454

3-yr PQD - $119,805
I’ve been a 1K since at least 2016

Expect first round of email invites will still happen sometime next week as they have for the last 5 years +. As GS nine years running and spend $70 on 165 PQM feeling secure for year 10

haha. that's one of the best conspiracy theories I've heard in awhile... so good it's making me think it maybe true.... or it's probably just a technical glitch.....

But, what this does do is keep an "artificial" swelling of the ranks minimized in end of Dec and Jan, of new invites, (re) invites and non renewals all in play in that time period.

Anything you can buy on the website (so includes partners/Star Alliance) but you can ONLY buy tickets for yourself with the funds.
